Renmin University of China was the first public school in northern Shaanxi founded by the CPC Central Committee in 1937. In 1939, North China United University was jointly established by Northern Shaanxi Public School, Yan'an Lu Xun Art College, Yan'an Workers' School and Anwubao War Youth Training Class. In 1948, North China United University and North China University merged to form North China University. In 1949, North China moved to Beijing. North China University once split into many famous schools.
China University of Political Science and Law is the Beijing Institute of Political Science and Law, which was formed in 1952 by the combination of law, political science, sociology and other disciplines of Peking University, Tsinghua University, Yanjing University and Furen University.
