Trimming method:
1. Pinching: also called de pointing and topping, is to pinch or cut off the top of the main stem or lateral branches of a flower plant by hand, break the top advantage of the plant, promote the germination of its lower axillary buds, inhibit the overgrowth of branches, promote the plant to have more branches, and form a multi flower head and beautiful plant shape.
2. Wiping head: usually cut off all the upper parts of the plant before the germination of new branches in spring, which is called wiping head. The height of the trunk left when plastering depends on the type of flowers.
3. Sparging: including thinning branches, leaves, buds, flowers and adventitious buds. When flowers and plants grow too vigorously, resulting in too dense branches and leaves, part of their branches should be thinned or too dense leaves should be removed at the right time to improve the ventilation and light transmission conditions, so that flowers grow stronger and flowers and fruits have more beautiful colors. The flowers of the happiness tree are erect, terminal, nocturnal, with calyx teeth ovate lanceolate, and bracts linear lanceolate. When pruning the happiness tree, prune it as you want it to grow.
Pruning time: After the happy tree has grown for at least one year and its branches and leaves become swollen, it can be pruned. Usually summer and winter are the best seasons for pruning.
