The author of Changgexing is unknown.
"Changge Xing" is a classical Chinese poem, belonging to the Han Yuefu poetry, which is a famous piece of exhortation to the world to cherish time and forge ahead. From the perspective of the overall conception, the main meaning of this poem is that the seasons change quickly, and time never returns. Therefore, people are advised to cherish their youth, work hard, and make a difference.
Yuefu was initially set up in the Qin Dynasty, which was an organization under the jurisdiction of the Shaofu at that time, specializing in the teaching of music and dance singing. In the early Han Dynasty, Yuefu was not preserved. When Liu Che, Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty, rebuilt the Yuefu when sacrificing rites and music in the suburbs. Its responsibility was to collect folk songs or literati poems to compose music for the court to perform at sacrifices or banquets. The poems it collects and collates will be called "Yuefu Poems", or Yuefu for short. It is a new poetic style following the Book of Songs and the Songs of Chu. Later, those who did not like music were also called Yuefu or quasi Yuefu.
