1、 History
Shenyang Agricultural University, founded in 1952, was merged by the then Agricultural College of Fudan University (except for tea) and some majors of Shenyang Agricultural College.
In 1977, the former Shenyang Agricultural College of five agricultural colleges in Liaoning Province was partially merged into Liaoning Agricultural College, and was renamed as Shenyang Agricultural College the next year. Since then, the agricultural development of the university has begun.
In 1979, it was approved by the State Council as a national key university.
In 1981, it was approved as one of the first units with the right to confer doctor's and master's degrees.
In October 1985, it was renamed Shenyang Agricultural University, and Comrade Deng Xiaoping wrote the name of the university himself.
In 2000, Shenyang Agricultural University was transferred from the Ministry of Agriculture to a national key university mainly managed by Liaoning Province and co built by Liaoning Province and the Central Government.
In 2010, Shenyang Agricultural University was selected into the national "characteristic key discipline project" construction universities.
