There are many different genres of Peking Opera. Here are three of them and their introduction:
1. Tan School: The art of the Tan School of Peking Opera is the first school of Peking Opera founded in China. The Tan School's singing is famous for its euphemism and simplicity. First, in the history of Beijing Opera, the Tan School has always been recognized as the mainstream school among the old and young. Tan School's singing is mellow, soft, witty, changeable and expressive.
2. Wang School: It is the artistic school of Dan roles in Peking Opera founded by Wang Yaoqing. It is the most popular and widely spread Dan style school after the late Qing Dynasty. Wang Yaoqing is the founder of the Peking Opera Huashan Business. He combines the achievements of the previous generation's Danxing art, carries out innovation and creation, opens up a new path for Danxing actors, promotes the development of Danxing and actors, and becomes an important figure in the history of Peking Opera.
3. Wang School: It is an old school art school of Beijing Opera founded by Wang Guifen, one of the "new three heroes" of Beijing Opera. Wang Guifen, Tan Xinpei and Sun Juxian are called the old "new three heroes" and the later "three tripods". He is a disciple of Cheng Changgeng and has played piano for Cheng's family for many years. He has inherited Cheng Changgeng's art and has changed and developed, forming a powerful and gloomy Wang School.
