Today, I learned an article called Stealing Reading. What makes me hard to believe is that there are still children in the world who are eager to read, but they have no money to buy books because of family difficulties, so they have to steal books from the bookstore.
When I read it at one go, I was deeply shocked by the behavior of the stolen readers! The children in the book love reading to the extent of obsession, but because their families are poor and have no money to buy books, they have to rush to the Culture Street every day after class, where there are many bookstores, so that she can blend into the crowd buying books and have more opportunities to read some of their favorite books. One page, two pages, she read greedily like a hungry thin wolf. She was happy and afraid. I was happy to read my favorite book, and I was afraid of being found by the shopkeeper, but the thing I worried about still happened. Once, I read a book in a bookstore. Because the article was too long, I had to read it every day. Finally, the shopkeeper found out that if I had money, I would buy a book to read. If I didn't have money, what would I do here. She was humiliated and expelled from the bookstore. I can't figure out how the shopkeeper can treat a poor student who has no money to buy books and is eager to study like this?
However, there is still a lot of love in the world. When the little girl could not resist the temptation of the book, she walked into another bookstore and read the unfinished book nervously. The kind-hearted shopkeeper uncle satisfied the poor student's wish.
When I read here and saw the house full of books, I felt guilty. Our generation eats well, dresses well, sleeps soundly, and grows up in deep love. Why not seize this precious time to study hard?
