1. Lenovo notebook must use third-party software to format the whole disk, because the built-in disk management cannot format the C disk. Usually, you use the partition tool: diskgenius partition tool.
2. The following describes the process of formatting the entire disk with the diskgenius partition tool: first, prepare a GHOST version of the latest installation CD with PE, whether it is XP or WIN7, or prepare a USB flash drive startup disk with PE, and then press F12 or DEL to enter the BIOS.
3. Set the first startup item as the optical disk drive (or USB flash drive), insert the optical disk (or USB flash drive), enter the optical disk (or USB flash drive), enter WINPE, find a software called diskgenius, open the software, find the "hard disk" of the host, select the partition of the hard disk, right-click, and click "Format the current partition".
4. Use the CD or USB flash disk with PE to enter the PE, and then in "My Computer" or "Computer", find the system disk C to format, right-click, select Format, and confirm.
