Congee with Nuts and Dried Fruits
Main material: 300g of eight treasure rice.
Accessories: wheat kernel, job's tears, millet, glutinous rice, red rice, buckwheat, sesame, red dates, medlar, raisins, longans, peanuts, walnuts, almonds, chestnuts, brown sugar, etc.
Procedure:
1. Soak hard to ripen materials overnight in advance, such as red beans, mung beans, black rice, brown rice, dried lotus seeds, wheat kernels, buckwheat, etc;
2. Add water to the pot, first pour in the more difficult to cook materials and various dried fruit candies, such as longans, chestnuts, almonds, peanuts, walnuts, sesame, medlar, red dates, raisins, etc., boil them for 15 minutes on high fire, then turn off the fire and stew them for half an hour, repeat twice, and soak the rest of the ingredients at the same time;
3. After the third high fire, pour in the rest of the ingredients, turn to low fire and continue to cook for one hour;
4. After an hour, add brown sugar, stir well, and cook for another ten minutes.
