Is the Qualification Examination for Primary and Secondary School Teachers Nationwide Unified Examination
The primary and secondary school teacher qualification examination can be divided into national and provincial examinations, not national examinations. At present, Tibet has not implemented the national unified examination, while other provinces have implemented the national unified examination.
Areas for unified examination: There are 30 provinces for unified examination of national teacher qualification examination, including Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Shanxi, Liaoning, Jilin, Heilongjiang, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui, Fujian, Jiangxi, Shandong, Henan, Hubei, Hunan, Guangdong, Guangxi, Hainan, Chongqing, Sichuan, Guizhou, Yunnan, Shaanxi, Gansu, Qinghai, Ningxia Inner Mongolia (from the second half of 2021), Xinjiang (from the second half of 2021)
Provincial examination areas: Tibet has not implemented the national examination, but still uses the original examination model of the autonomous region.
Examinees: All applicants for kindergarten, primary school, junior high school, senior high school, secondary vocational school teacher qualifications and secondary vocational school internship instructor qualifications in pilot provinces must take the primary and secondary school teacher qualification examination. The full-time normal college students who have enrolled before the start of the pilot work can directly identify the corresponding teacher qualifications with their graduation certificates. Students majoring in teacher education who enter the school after the pilot work starts shall take the teacher qualification examination when applying for the qualification of teachers in primary and secondary schools and kindergartens.
