What are the requirements of PETS for the qualification of candidates
The National Public English Test (PETS) is a social oriented, open and non academic examination targeting all citizens. It is a proficiency test to test the English communication ability of candidates. In terms of candidates' qualifications, the National English Test (PETS) has no restrictions on occupation, household registration and education level. In principle, anyone (but due to policy reasons, it is temporarily not available to students who are still receiving nine-year compulsory education) can participate.
At present, PETS has implemented online registration in some provinces, and those provinces that have not participated in online registration shall be subject to the provincial announcement.
When registering online, use valid ID cards, including resident ID cards (including temporary ID cards), military documents, Hong Kong and Macao residents' Mainland travel permits, Taiwan residents' Mainland travel permits or passports, and register and fill in individual registration information step by step. When registering, a recent bareheaded certificate photo should be uploaded as required.
Applicants shall ensure that their personal information is true and correct when registering, and shall be responsible for the inability to take the exam and other direct or indirect consequences caused by the untrue or incorrect personal information.
The ID card held at the time of examination must be consistent with that at the time of registration. Those who do not have the same ID card may not participate in the examination. If the examinee does not wear earphones during the listening test at the test site where earphones are required, it will be treated as illegal.
