1. First, the old floor drain needs to be removed. Use the cutting machine to carefully separate the floor drain from the floor tile along the edge. It is better to sprinkle water once to make the cutting gap clear and avoid cutting errors; Then gently tap with a hammer to enlarge the gap, loosen the floor drain, and take out the floor drain completely.
2. After the floor drain is taken out, it will be found that there are many sundries on the floor drain, including dust, hair, dirt, etc., which is one of the reasons why the floor drain is blocked, leading to drainage failure and odor. Discard it and start cleaning the groove. Use tools to remove sand, cement and other impurities from the groove. Pay attention to prevent these impurities from entering the sewer pipe when cleaning the groove. Use a rag to block the pipe orifice tightly and temporarily to facilitate cleaning.
3. Then start to mix the cement materials evenly, apply cement around the groove and on the back of the new floor drain, align the floor drain with the drainage pipe orifice and put it into the groove, press it tightly, and firmly connect it with the ground. During this process, it should be noted that the horizontal plane of the floor drain is slightly lower than the ground, and it is generally kept at a height difference of about 1mm. This design is conducive to the drainage effect.
4. After about 10 minutes, the cement starts to dry, the surplus cement at the corners is cleaned, and the most critical inner core is loaded. This inner core is a component that can play a deodorizing role, and can be taken out for cleaning at any time; With the filter screen installed, some owners will add a water separator in order to have a better drainage effect, which can disperse the water flowing into the drainage pipe, so that the water will not overflow from the floor drain.
5. Finally, put the lid on, and you're done. The cement will not fully set until 24 hours later, and then clean the surrounding area with clean water. The odor proof floor drain can be used. In daily life, attention should be paid to cleaning on time. Generally, it needs to be cleaned once every half a month or so to ensure the indoor hygiene and avoid odor.
