1. Baboon grows in Africa and is the largest monkey. The baboon in West Africa weighs 54 kg and is said to weigh 59 kg, with a body length of more than 90 cm. They live in groups, usually 20~60 in each group, up to a maximum of 100. In a baboon group, an older, strong and experienced male baboon is the "baboon king", and all other baboons follow its command.
2. Baboon life rules. They sleep together in the woods at night, get up at about 7 o'clock in the morning, and then go outside to find food. When walking, the Baboon King commanded in a unified way, and several older male baboons protected the whole team in front or behind.
3. Baboons know how to use stones as weapons. Once they met the enemy, they would grab the stones on the ground and throw them at the enemy. But interestingly, they never attack members of their own groups with stones. Even when they are angry, they just grab stones from the ground and throw them into the air instead of throwing them at their own kind.
4. The birth of baboons is the most exciting event among baboons. As soon as the baby baboon was born, the whole group of baboons became ecstatic and watched the newborn baby. "Seeing but not touching" is an unwritten "family rule" among baboons. Only baboons as "mothers" can touch newborn baboons. However, other baboons can express their sympathy and respect for the mother by touching her. As a "mother", baboons love their newborn children very much and hold them in their arms all day long. Sometimes the mother baboon will eat. In order to ensure the absolute safety of the baby, she holds the baby in one hand and walks with only one forelimb and two hind legs.
5. Baboons often look for water along a fixed route. This is a very dangerous thing, because those crafty lions and pythons often wait for their arrival at the water source, ready to eat a big meal. So every time we draw water, it is a carefully planned battle of baboons. Before starting, the strongest and bravest male baboons always form a "vanguard team", and the rest hide in trees near the water source. Once the lion rushes at us, the first baboon will fight with the enemy beast tenaciously. At the same time, baboons in the surrounding trees shouted and cheered together, throwing stones and fruits at the "enemy". Lions often have to flee in confusion in front of a group of baboons fighting together.
