Corn is better for chickens than wheat.
Both wheat and corn are energy feeds. Corn should be processed and broken into suitable particle sizes when fed to chickens. Because of the low density of corn, it is easy for chickens to digest and absorb it after feeding. The wheat can be directly fed to the chicken after being removed from the awn. Because the wheat grains are hard and dense, it is difficult for the chicken to digest after eating. In contrast, corn is better for chickens.
In chicken raising, the following points should be paid attention to in the selection of feed raw materials:
1. Chickens have poor digestive function, so it is better not to add too many wheat particles in the feed, and it is better to choose digestible corn or other energy feeds.
2. No matter corn or wheat, chickens cannot be fed alone, otherwise the feed will be single and the chickens will suffer from malnutrition. Maize or wheat can only be used as energy feed, protein feed, vitamins and minerals and other additives to mix into a full nutritional feed for chickens to give full play to its role.
3. Due to the different conditions in different regions, some regions mainly produce wheat and some regions mainly produce corn. Therefore, all regions should choose the feed formula suitable for local conditions to raise chickens.
