1. Recently, another good news came from the overseas high-speed railway market. A new high-speed railway in Thailand was opened, and Chia Tai Group joined hands with China Railway Construction Corporation and other enterprises to jointly bid. The cost of this high-speed railway is about 6.8 billion dollars. From the perspective of Chia Tai Group, the consortium is very likely to win the bid.
2. There is also a precedent for Chinese enterprises to cooperate with Thai railways in the construction of high-speed railways. On December 21, 2017, the first phase of the China Thailand Railway Cooperation Project was inaugurated in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand. This railway is the first standard gauge high-speed railway in Thailand. The first phase of the project is 253 kilometers long, with a design maximum speed of 250 kilometers per hour. The second phase of the project will be extended to Langkaifu across the river from Vientiane, the capital of Laos, and realize the connection with the Boten Vientiane section of the China Laos Railway.
3. Super Building has learned that the first 3.5km section of the first phase of the China Thailand Railway is under construction and is under construction by the enterprises affiliated to China Railway Construction. Currently, 40% of the project has been completed, which was originally planned to be completed in October 2018. However, Thailand said that the progress of the first 3.5 km section was somewhat slow, mainly due to the lack of railway construction materials and insufficient budget for railway construction. It is expected that the test section less than 4 km will be completed in February March 2019.
