What is the format of the doctoral English test in Southwest Jiaotong University
The English Subject Examination Syllabus for the Doctoral Admission Examination of Southwest Jiaotong University mentioned that the English Subject Examination for the Doctoral Admission Examination of Southwest Jiaotong University is a selective entrance examination subject set up for our university to recruit doctoral students. Its purpose is to scientifically, fairly and effectively test the candidates' ability to use the English language, so as to ensure that the candidates have a certain level of English and lay a solid foundation for professional learning in the doctoral stage.
According to the Announcement on the Adjustment of the Preliminary Examination Scheme for the 2020 Doctoral Postgraduate Enrollment Examination of Southwest Jiaotong University, the preliminary examination for the 2020 general recruitment examination for doctoral postgraduates will be conducted by means of the network remote closed book written examination, with a total score of 100 minutes, and the examination time will be two and a half hours, that is, 150 minutes. The time for answering questions in each subject will be included in the total time, and will not be timed in sections.

③ Candidates must be familiar with and strictly abide by the Rules for the Preliminary Examination of the 2020 Doctoral Admission Examination of Southwest Jiaotong University.
④ All candidates must sign the Letter of Commitment for the 2020 Doctoral Admissions Integrity Examination of Southwest Jiaotong University.
⑤ Candidates should print a number of answer sheets on their own. Please use A4 white paper to print the answer sheets. It is recommended to print at least 5 pages. ⑥ Candidates with the same academic level who have achieved the score line of the second examination in the preliminary examination must take additional examinations in politics and two professional courses. The time and requirements for additional examinations will be notified separately.
