The acca for intermediate accountants cannot be exempted. Acca exemption policy stipulates that only certified public accountants can apply for acca exemption in accounting examinations. Candidates who have obtained the general qualification certificate or membership certificate before CICPA-2009 "6+1" system can be exempted from five courses. That is, Business and Technology, Management Accounting, Financial Accounting, Company Law and Commercial Law and Taxation.
Candidates who have obtained the general qualification certificate or membership certificate after CICPA-2009 "6+1" system can be exempted from nine courses, namely, Business and Technology, Management Accounting, Financial Accounting, Company Law and Commercial Law, Performance Management, Taxation, Financial Reporting, Audit and Certification Business, and Financial Management.
After successful application for exemption, candidates still need to pay the exemption fee.
