What are the types of legal professional qualification certificates
The legal professional qualification examination is a national examination organized by the state to select qualified legal professionals. If they meet the registration conditions for the legal professional qualification examination and have passed the national unified legal professional qualification examination, they can apply for the award of legal professional qualification according to the prescribed procedures, and the Ministry of Justice will issue a legal professional qualification certificate. Legal professional qualification certificates can be divided into different types according to the educational requirements and qualification standards of candidates, as follows:
Before the reform of the legal examination in 2018, there were three types of certificates: A certificate, B certificate and C certificate. After the reform of the legal examination in 2018, the registration conditions for the legal professional qualification examination were adjusted, and the application conditions in the relaxed regions also changed. The original legal professional qualification B certificate has been cancelled, but now there are only two types of certificates, A and C certificate, but the certificate of the examinee who has previously passed the judicial examination is not affected.
Class A: the type of certificate obtained by candidates who meet the educational requirements of non relaxed regions and reach the national unified score. Class A qualification certificate is commonly used nationwide.
Class B: the type of certificate obtained by the person who meets the educational requirements of the regions where the educational conditions are relaxed, but whose examination results reach the national unified standard qualification line published that year. Those who have obtained such certificates shall hold posts and practice in the relaxed areas. However, if a person holding a Class B certificate has obtained a bachelor's degree or above, he or she can enjoy the same scope of employment or practice as a Class A certificate.
Class C: the type of certificate obtained by the person who meets the requirements of the relaxed educational background and whose examination results reach the qualified score line of the relaxed area. Those who have obtained such certificates shall hold posts and practice in the relaxed areas.
