YOLOv5 practical garbage classification target detection

Waste classification is a livelihood project that benefits the country and the people, and requires the participation of the whole society. YOOv5 is a popular and powerful target detection technology. This project uses YOLOv5 to achieve garbage classification target detection. Using more than ten thousand labeled target detection data sets for training, we can detect the pictures of household garbage, find out which category of garbage in the pictures, and indicate the position in the pictures.

YOLOv5 of this course uses PyTorch's ultratics/yolov5 to demonstrate the project of garbage classification target detection on Windows and Ubuntu systems respectively. The specific project process includes: data set and format conversion, exploratory data analysis, installation of software environment, installation of YOLOv5, modification of YOLOv5 code (to support Chinese tags), automatic division of training set and test set, modification of configuration file, preparation of Weights&Biases training visualization tool, training network model, test trained network model and performance statistics.
