Login Key

When creating a host, one item is to add an SSH key. Although you can create a host without adding it, you will not be able to log in later, so please create a key first.

Open port

By default, the host only opens 22 ports, which need to be opened in the management background:

The above steps are to open the port in the background. The disadvantage of Oracle Cloud host is that it is not enough to open the port in the background. You need to open the port again in the installed system image. You can directly close iptables or firewalld:

However, for security reasons, the firewall will not be closed directly, so you can do this by clearing the existing default rules, uninstalling the default iptables, restarting the host, and manually installing iptables:

Use risk

The free services provided by Oracle Cloud are really cost-effective. Two VMs, 20G object storage, 50G additional storage, two databases, etc., even the large manufacturers who charge for them may not have the courage. Therefore, the sustainability is subject to time verification, and it is recommended not to use it in the production environment at the initial stage.
