At the first stop of Shanghai garden investigation, Xiaoma chose Qiuxia Garden in Jiading, one of the five classical gardens in Shanghai.
Qiuxia Garden has a history of 520 years. Its predecessor is Gong's Garden built in 1502, the 15th year of Hongzhi in the Ming Dynasty. In addition to Shen's Garden, City God Temple and Jin's Garden, the garden was later split, and it was not until 1960 that the name of Qiuxiapu was restored.
On October 1, 1987, the repaired gardens were opened as a whole, and three ancient gardens and four scenic spots of Yimiao were collectively called Qiuxia Garden. There are four main scenic spots in Qiuxianpu Park, namely Taohuatan Scenic Spot (formerly Gongshi Park), Ningxia Pavilion Scenic Spot (formerly Shenshi Park), Qingjingtang Scenic Spot (formerly Jinshi Park) and Chenghuang Temple Scenic Spot (formerly Yimiao).
When talking about Qiuxia Garden, most people will yearn for the beautiful autumn scenery. The seasonal changes of scenery are really a major feature of Qiuxia Garden. However, it's a pity that Xiaoma came earlier and did not experience the red maple and ginkgo trees in the autumn garden in late autumn.
