In terms of appearance, the appearance of the FAW Toyota bZ4X continues the overall design of the overseas version. The new car uses a new design language, in which the closed front grille is equipped with long and narrow headlights, making the whole front of the car show a "hammer head" shape, which is very cute and sci-fi. The black trim panels on the left and right sides extend from around the headlights to the wings on both sides, forming a unique design element. The chrome plated trim strips on overseas models are removed from the interior of the front enclosure, making the overall design more concise and lively, while the left and right air vents can effectively reduce the wind resistance of the vehicle.
The four square LED light sources inside the headlights are designed in a matrix way, which makes them look energetic. In addition, the LED daytime driving light strip above is connected with the chrome plated trim strip in the middle, further improving the overall feeling of the head.
The side lines of the new car are very smooth. The A pillar has a large inclination, the roof curve is straight, and the C pillar is very downward, creating a good sense of movement; In addition, the A-C pillar adopts bright black color matching, which complements the black trim panel in other parts of the body. In terms of body dimensions, the length, width and height of the new car are 4690/1860/1650mm respectively, and the wheelbase is 2850mm.
The new car uses 18 inch double five blessing wheel hub, which has a weaker visual effect compared with the overseas version of 20 inch wheel hub. It can further improve the endurance performance by matching with the special tires for Hantai Ventus S1 evo3 EV pure electric vehicles.
The tail of the new car is compact and full, and the profiled through tail lamp stretches the visual width. The roof and tail wings of the domestic model were newly designed, and the exaggerated design of the overseas model was not used. However, the "duckling tail" spoiler at the end of the boot was retained, and the rear of the car was no longer monotonous.
The overall design of the interior of the car is consistent with that of overseas models. Compared with the appearance, the interior of the bZ4X is more inclined to the traditional fuel car style. Although there are some novel ideas in some details, the overall appearance is relatively standard, especially the central control screen and the lower entity key pressing area, which is just like the Toyota fuel car.
The full LCD instrument panel above the center console adopts a unique design style, and the black panels on both sides play a good role in guiding the vision. The focus of vision falls into the full LCD screen, which has a strong sense of novelty. The UI design of the LCD dashboard is very simple, and no complex color matching is used. White characters on a black background make parameter reading more convenient.
Although the steering wheel adopts a conventional style, the number of multifunction buttons on the left and right sides is significantly increased compared with the fuel model, which not only makes it easier to control the vehicle, but also looks more beautiful. In the future, the very sci-fi rectangular steering wheel will be equipped with the top model. Through the steering by wire system, the number of turns of the steering wheel will be greatly reduced. The driver can complete the steering at the maximum angle without changing hands (only rotating 150 °), increasing the practicability of this steering wheel.
The central control screen is still Toyota's usual blue tone, which is not as good as the new force avant-garde science fiction in color matching, but this time it has become more mainstream in function. Online entertainment, navigation, car home networking, life/car applications and voice control are all equipped, and the screen is smooth. The physical touch panel with a large number of keys arranged under the central control screen also continues the conventional design of Toyota, which can directly control the vehicle functions, and has strong convenience.
The gear shifting area adopts a knob design. First, press down the knob in the center, and then rotate it to both sides to engage the corresponding gear. The wireless charging board is set in the storage tank with a cover plate, and the designer has specially made a hollow treatment on the cover plate, which looks no longer monotonous.
In terms of configuration, Toyota bZ4X is equipped with the third generation Toyota Safety Sense (Toyota Intelligent Safety System), which provides a number of new or improved automatic driving assistance functions; It can cope with more road conditions and reduce the risk of accidents.
The solar charging dome is an optional configuration. This function can directly charge the battery through solar energy at any time (whether the vehicle is started or parked). The leather seats give consideration to both comfort and wrapping. The front two seats are electrically adjusted, with heating, ventilation and other functions. In terms of endurance, two battery packs with capacity of 50.3kWh and 66.7kWh are used for the two drive model, and the endurance mileage under CLTC condition is 400km and 615km respectively; All 4WD models use battery packs with a capacity of 66.7kWh, and the driving range under CLTC condition is 560km and 500km respectively. The four-wheel drive model is equipped with the X-MODE four-wheel drive off-road auxiliary mode, which, together with the newly developed Grip Control intelligent crawling mode, meets the use needs from daily life to light off-road.
