Recently, Lishan Village, Zhongguan Town, Huzhou City, Zhejiang Province, carried out the activity of "Water Town Rowing Rhombic Bucket Tradition Welcoming the Dragon Boat Festival". Villagers chased each other on the water with bucket paddles, creating a unique atmosphere of the Dragon Boat Festival.

It is reported that rowing a bucket is a characteristic cultural project in the rural areas of Jiangnan. Zhongguan Town has a dense river network, and the water bucket is a kind of traditional water labor tool that every household must use. Villagers must take the water bucket when fishing, picking water bottles and picking lotus seeds.

The Dragon Boat Festival is a rare slack season in the Jiangnan Water Town in a year. Local villagers will take out their home bucket for competition, which has evolved into the custom of the Dragon Boat Festival over time. (Yao Ping)
