Today, I would like to introduce a group of graphic designs of the "Teahouse Theater", the opera center that opened last month.
Located at the junction of Guangdong Road and Austin Road in the West Kowloon Cultural District, Kowloon, the Opera Center is a theatre in Hong Kong, known as the "East Gate of West Kowloon".
Teahouse Theater is one of the main venues of Xijiu Opera Center, which can accommodate 200 audiences. With the opening of the Opera Center, the teahouse theater has begun its own promotion.
This group of designs came from WMW Studio in Hong Kong.STUDIOWMW is a multidisciplinary design studio, founded in 2013.Design projects include brand, printing, product, packaging, exhibition, installation and website.
This group of planes released on the street is also quite amazing!
The opera center building is 8 floors high, and its main facilities include the grand theater, teahouse theater, rehearsal room, lecture hall, etc.The central gate is inspired by the curtain of the stage. When entering, it is like stepping on the platform, leading the audience into the millennium opera culture.
The architectural design comes from Revery Architecture and Lv Yuanxiang Architects. The designer is ingenious and specially designed the Grand Theater on the top floor to make room for the underground atrium for exhibition, market, opera demonstration or explanation, so that the public has more opportunities to experience the beauty of opera culture.
The Opera Center is located in the east of West Kowloon Cultural District, covering an area of 13800 square meters. It is the first completed project in West Kowloon Cultural District. It took five years to build from 2013 to 2018, and was officially opened on January 20, 2019.
The pinyin of the English name of the drama center has caused some controversy.
