The Huxiang Spark Party History Study Group of Hunan Technology and Business University visited the Yandi Mausoleum: looking for the root of Chinese civilization and the source of traditional culture

On the afternoon of July 17, the Huxiang Spark Party History Study Group of Hunan Technology and Business University came to Yandi Mausoleum in Yanling County to carry out the summer "three trips to the countryside" research activities.

Emperor Yan Shennong is the humanistic ancestor of the Chinese nation. He taught people to cultivate and opened the Chinese farming civilization. As the "resting place" of Yan Emperor Shennong's family, Yan Emperor's Mausoleum has achieved its lofty historical and cultural status of "the holy land of the Chinese nation and the spiritual home of the global Chinese" through its five thousand years of incense inheritance, and is recognized as the common "root" of Chinese people.   

In the Shennong Hall, murals surrounded on all sides recorded the "eight major achievements" of Yan Emperor in ancient times, such as "starting to make tills, teaching people to cultivate", "tasting hundreds of herbs, inventing medicine", "making the market in the middle of the day, pioneering trade", reflecting the production and living conditions of the society at that time, helping teachers and students better understand the origin and development of the Chinese nation. The team members paid homage to the statue of Yan Emperor Shennong, and expressed their admiration for the kindness of Yan Emperor, the ancestor of the Chinese nation.     

Then, the team members came to visit the Imperial Stele Garden. The 56 imperial steles on display here were all left by the emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties after they sent officials to worship ancestors. In 2006, the "Yandi Mausoleum Sacrifice" was included in the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage, which had a huge impact at home and abroad.

Finally, with the theme of "seeking the root of Chinese civilization and the source of traditional culture", the leader teacher held a mobile ideological and political lesson in front of the Yandi Mausoleum, which made the team members deeply feel the indomitable spirit of innovation, tenacious pioneering spirit and self-improvement enterprising spirit displayed by Yandi Shennong. The team members all said that in the new era and new journey, they should constantly draw wisdom and nutrition from the excellent traditional Chinese culture, further strengthen their ideals and beliefs, and let the Chinese civilization exude more powerful spiritual charm.
