Two way, eight lane, picturesque road

The ground section of Guanxin Road Central Island running through Maluan Bay is open to traffic

The road section has just opened, and there are not many vehicles passing by.

Xiamen Evening News (article/picture reporter Xiao Jiahao) Previously, we drove back and forth between Xinyang and Guankou, either by way of Xinyang Bridge or across Guanxin Tunnel. With the recent opening of the ground section of Guanxin Road Central Island, citizens have an additional choice to travel between the two places, and can also enjoy the beautiful scenery of Maluan Bay along the way.

This section is generally north-south, a two-way eight lane urban trunk road, starting at Nanwan Road and ending at Houke East Road, with a total mileage of about 1.65 kilometers. The line meets 11 east-west urban roads, including Dongfu East Road, Binzhou Road and Maluanwan Middle Road.

Driving on this newly opened urban trunk road is pleasant. The new road surface is open and flat. The roadside trees on both sides of the road are green, and the grass and flowers on the green belt are swaying. You can enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way.

According to the staff of the headquarters of Maluanwan New Town Area, Guanxin Road is an expressway that runs through Maluanwan and connects Jimei Guankou Industrial Zone, Haicang Taiwanese Investment Zone and Xiamen Island. It is an important part of the "outer ring" of the "two rings and eight shoots" expressway network system in Xiamen. After the opening of this section, it will greatly improve the convenience of access to the central island, drive the development of commerce, tourism and trade in Maluanwan New Town, and help promote the development and construction of the area.
