By the end of last year, China's installed capacity of renewable energy had reached 1.213 billion kilowatts, exceeding the total installed capacity of coal power for the first time. In 2022, among the top 20 global photovoltaic enterprises, China will account for 17. Among the top 20 global new energy passenger vehicle sales, there will be 10 in China, the top 10 power battery shippers, and 6 in China. According to the report of the National Energy Administration, China accounts for 65% of the manufacturing capacity of the global clean energy industry, including 71% for electric vehicles, 96% for solar photovoltaic cells, and 70% and 59% for offshore and onshore wind power respectively.
Xie Zhenhua pointed out that although we have certain advantages in the field of new energy, the level of energy efficiency still needs to be further improved. Energy storage, hydrogen chloride, power transmission, smart grid, micro grid and other technologies need to be further developed.
