Girl, I want to take a picture for you

When I was in college, I loved taking pictures to record my life. After I came to Rongshui, Guangxi, and started my volunteer teaching life, I became more and more inseparable from the camera.

Every week, we go to a poverty alleviation resettlement site to help the left behind children finish their homework. After getting familiar with these obedient little girls, they shared their lives with me.

Guangxi has beautiful scenery. Once I opened my mobile phone to take a sunset glow. The girl who lost her teeth asked me: Teacher, can you take a picture for me? So I photographed her smile in the sunset. After taking a picture of another girl, she said she felt too dark. I am surprised that these children are left behind children, and their parents are not around at ordinary times. When did they define beauty and ugliness? I want to tell them that girls have their own beauty. The best way to live is to be bold and confident! From that day on, I decided to take pictures of each of them and tell them that you are beautiful.

My idea received their active support. The day of taking pictures is special. The children dress up meticulously and feel like stars. Children have their own ideas about clothes, props and venues. So I changed the principle of taking photos, how to be happy and how to come.

Xiaoliang, 12, is the "eldest sister" of the children. This group of pictures was taken in the Miao village. Xiaoliang is very lively. People who meet in the process of taking photos will ask her if she wants to take a group photo together.

This group of pictures was taken during the rainy season in the south of China. It is the season when flowers bloom. Rain and flowers are part of the picture.

When this group of photos was taken, the children were very excited when they just put on their new school uniforms. Enlarge these photos, and you will find the children's true and simple side. Some may have lost a tooth, and some have frostbite marks on their hands... but they can't hide their beauty in any way. In this mountain, life is their first teacher, but still can not stop their bright smile.

The children put on their Miao clothes and took a group photo with the bauhinia flower, the city flower of Liuzhou.

At the children's collective birthday party, everyone blew balloons and made their own birthday cakes.

I took this camera to the countryside, full of curiosity and expectation. I just hope to take better photos, but in each rich and ordinary day, I gradually moved by the details of life, and the happiness in the fireworks of the town.

"Everything in life must be done by oneself. A small step is just a small part of the world." This is an inconspicuous corner of the world. I am lucky to have the chance to enter this fertile land, be a teacher and friend of a group of children, and present these brilliant scenes in the deep of Miao Mountain through the camera.
