About asking for leave during service

According to the relevant provisions of the Administrative Measures for College Students Volunteer Service for the Western Plan Volunteers, volunteers enjoy the right to rest (vacation) as stipulated by relevant national laws and regulations. Volunteers should submit a written application for leave (hospital certificate is required for leave due to illness), which should be approved by the corresponding agency. The specific provisions are as follows:

(1) The leave of 1-2 days shall be approved by the service unit.

(2) For leave of 3-10 days, with the consent of the service unit, it shall be reported to the project office of the service county for approval.

(3) Those who ask for leave for more than 10 days shall be reported to the provincial project office for approval after being approved by the service county project office.

(4) In principle, the personal leave shall not exceed 15 days each time, and shall not exceed 20 days accumulatively within one year (except for applying for graduate students, civil servants or taking the professional qualification examination and recruitment examinations held by various enterprises and institutions). If the service qualification is overdue, the service agreement shall be terminated.

(5) The project offices of each service county shall determine the time for volunteers to return to their homes and posts according to the actual situation. Without approval, those who exceed the specified return time for 2 days will be deemed as breach of contract, and will be disqualified from voluntary service in principle. Force majeure is excluded.
