Editor's note: Tibet, the highland in western China, is the youngest plateau on the earth. Here, the clouds are flourishing, boundless and magnificent. Here, it has a profound and glorious history. The mountains are vast, the rivers are breathtaking, the Gesang flowers compete with each other, the red crowned cranes dance, the magnificent snow peaks, the tranquil lakes, the rushing rivers, and the vast forests constitute an amazing scenery.
Last August, a Mongolian man from Xiaozhuang's hometown Horqin Grassland set foot on this mysterious snowy plateau. In a short year, he will open up a new world of volunteer teaching in Tibet on behalf of the Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics graduate volunteer group. He is Lu Yang, a glorious volunteer of the 2014 University Student Volunteer Service Western Plan.
His four years of college was a tumultuous four years, winning the "Top Ten Announcers", hosting various parties, wearing military uniforms and raising the national flag, and winning the second prize in the "Fengru Cup" science and technology competition of Beijing Airlines. Won the title of Outstanding Graduate of Beijing. And his volunteer experience: Beijing Changping Xinyuan Primary School for Migrant Workers' Children won the "Second Prize of 2011 Beihang Excellent Class Physical Defense", the title of "Advanced Individual Volunteer for the 60th Anniversary of Beihang University". The mental journey of members of the Beijing Volunteer Association inspired him to go to the world's yearning Shambala, return to nature, and feel more about the world, Explore the essence of life Tibet.
Luyang's service unit is the No. 1 High School in Shannan, Tibet, which teaches Chinese language courses for two classes in Grade One of Senior High School. When he stood on the platform for the first time and faced the sixty-five Tibetan children with plateau red smiles, he not only felt a sense of achievement, but also a sense of responsibility as a people's teacher. In order to enable children to understand Chinese more deeply and like Chinese. The teacher, who is only three or four years old, plays with the children and lives together. Before class, he dictated the new words to the students strictly and carefully. In class, he used humor and simple and understandable language to motivate the students to analyze the text. After class, he and the students sweated on the basketball court. The students' eyes are full of expectation and longing for him and the outside world.
"That is a magical way to send the warmth of the world to the border. Since then, the mountain is no longer high and the road is no longer long, and children of all ethnic groups gather together." With a hoarse voice, Lu Yang could not hide his excitement when talking about the news release of "the successful completion of the Qinghai Tibet Railway". He said excitedly: "The Qinghai Tibet Railway is the highest and longest plateau railway in the world. It has the longest mileage through permafrost. It connects our beautiful Tibet closely with the world! It is not only a railway, but also the economic road and happiness road of our new Tibet construction. Dear students, the vast world outside beckons to us! We will take the train to look forward to a better life! " He thought: "Most of the children here come from the farming and pastoral areas. The heavy financial burden of the elder brothers and sisters at home makes it difficult for many students to maintain their high school life, let alone to dream of a good time in college! But dear children, how can we see the end of life at the beginning? Although fate has given you a hard present, it has not given you a future that cannot see tomorrow! I hope you can accept the special arrangement of fate, but I don't hope you can accept being sentenced prematurely when you haven't struggled! Let children be full of curiosity about the unknown world, and work harder to explore, and become adults first! This is the significance of our volunteers coming here to volunteer! "
Lu Yang used his sincere heart to face these simple and kind children, and the children also used that grateful heart to give back to Lu Yang.
The Mid Autumn Festival on the 15th day of the eighth lunar month last year was Monday. After the last class in the afternoon, Mr. Lu assigned his homework and was ready to say goodbye to the students. Suddenly the monitor ran up and said quietly to Mr. Lu: "Mr. Lu, can you wait for a moment? I want to play a song on the computer." Mr. Lu nodded in surprise. However, when the song sounded, the students quickly arranged the tables and chairs, surrounded Mr. Lu in several circles, and happily sang and danced the Guozhuang dance "A LI DANG DEI DEI LAI Ciren Lasso, A JIXIA JIA LAI SUO Ciren Lasso, Ciren Lasso on the top of Gaogao Snow Mountain, a Gesang flower opening Ciren Lasso" with light music accompanied by light steps. "Teacher Lu, today is the Mid Autumn Festival. You may not be able to stay with your parents for our sake, and we can't buy you any gifts. We just want to wish you happiness in this traditional way!" Teacher Lu, whose eyes were filled with tears, was unable to say a word. This may be the most unforgettable and touching Mid Autumn Festival of more than 20 years for Mr. Lu! Because of these simple and lovely children, his volunteer teaching career can become more exciting!
There is a saying on the Internet that there are three kinds of people in Tibet: one kind of people stop to enjoy the beautiful scenery, the other kind of people are persistent in looking for beliefs, and a few three kinds of people use life to inquire about and listen to other lives. As volunteers, they not only enjoy the beautiful scenery, but also look for faith and listen to other lives. Because each of us can become a pilgrim of youth dreams, without thinking about how confused the future is, we can only have a heart to move towards the goal forever! Choosing Tibet is to choose a free release, but also a baptism of the soul. Flowers always bloom, and people are no longer young. We will meet better ourselves in Tibet!
