Excellent volunteer Zhu Ruifeng

March 26, weekend. I left the office early in the morning and came home tired of working overtime the night before, but suddenly received a phone call from the Youth League Committee office. My first feeling was that I admired the vigorous work of our League cadres and always lived a "5+2, white+black" life without complaint and regret like a secretary or reporter.

The content of the call is that the Western Plan Project Management Office of the National College Student Volunteer Service is preparing to select 100 outstanding college student volunteers nationwide. The opinion of the Youth League Flag Committee is to push me. At that moment, I felt a little happy, a little nervous, and even a little scared. After careful consideration, I felt that I had not made any great contribution to the local government, so I suggested that the Youth League Committee should choose someone else to report to. But those "brothers and sisters" who once worked in the Communist Youth League with me still insisted on it.

In the two days, in addition to work and study, I carefully sorted out my work experience in Etuoke Banner and sighed with many feelings.

In June 2004, having practiced and worked for more than a month, I received a notice from the Youth League Committee of Youth Political College of Inner Mongolia Normal University, my alma mater. In this way, on July 21, I became a volunteer who was once regarded as a "fool" by my classmates. I also acted as the leader and came to the west with the leaders of the Etuoke Banner Project Office.

Otog, subordinate to Ordos City, Inner Mongolia, founded the Banner in 1649, has a history of more than 360 years. Many cultural elements, such as the world's only grassland grotto temple, the world-famous Abai goat, and the dinosaur footprints of the Cretaceous period, jump on her territory like dazzling notes.

The moment I got off the bus, I was infected by this place. The eyeful of grass on the ground made me have a lifelong bond with her.

When I first came to work in Etok Youth League Committee, I slept at my desk because I didn't want to cause trouble to the place. In my eyes, the "little sister secretary of Youth League Committee" was "furious" with the education leader, and almost cried. Now think about it, some funny, some sad. Two years of volunteer youth work has also passed in such a day of "crying and laughing". Perhaps it is unforgettable that I was transferred to the office of the art festival headquarters to work with Li Qiang, Liu Xiaojun Hua Ming and others are getting together every day, constantly drafting various manuscripts and materials for the festival. When they go out, they eat and change clothes. This art festival hosted by Otok can be said to be a nationwide effort, and it has also been recognized and praised by the Party Committee and the government of the autonomous region. Of course, we have several contributions. But more than that, the festival also drew 38 of our university student volunteers in 2004 and 2005. They added another beautiful scenery to the festival. At the commendation meeting, 7 university student volunteers, including me, were rewarded, and we accounted for the largest proportion among many groups. Wang Bing, Liu Huina, Zhang Shiqiao, Ning Zhengwei, etc. Today, I am proud to have such team members and volunteers.

In 2006, under the correct leadership and strong support of the Youth League Committee, I began to establish and improve the rules and regulations of Etuoke Youth Volunteer Association with other team members, and worked together with the grass-roots Youth League committees and Youth League branches to vigorously promote the development of local youth volunteer cause. I still remember that there were more than 210 registered volunteers at that time. From 2004 to 2007, I went to Hohhot with the Youth League Flag Committee to receive four groups of volunteers. From 2008 to 2010, I only attended some banquets and gatherings to receive volunteers because of my work, but my heart never left my volunteer team.
