On the afternoon of July 17, Tsinghua University held the summary meeting of the 17th graduate student teaching group and the expedition ceremony of the 18th graduate student teaching group. Hou Baosen said after listening to the report of the education support group that poverty alleviation through education support is an important measure to promote the equalization of education. The volunteer service work of education support is getting more and more attention. The graduate education support group of Tsinghua University has made fruitful achievements. These achievements should be further promoted to encourage more people to pay attention to the development of the west. He encouraged the 18th Graduate Volunteer Group to adhere to the voluntary spirit of "dedication, fraternity, mutual assistance and progress", play a good role as a bridge, connect the baton in the hands of the seniors, and do a good job in the service work of the next year.

Shi Zongkai affirmed the work of the Zhijiao Tuan. He said that teaching experience is a valuable asset in life. The volunteer teaching group is part of the training work of the school to teach students in accordance with their aptitude. After a year of volunteer teaching, the volunteers become more confident and calm, and have a deeper understanding of the grassroots. We will continue to strengthen the summary and publicity of the work of the teaching support group, so that more people can pay attention to and understand the characters and stories of the graduate teaching support group.

From August 2015, 20 volunteers from the 17th Teaching and Learning Corps went to five schools in Tibet, Qinghai and Gansu to serve for one year. Qiu Fan, the head of the 17th Graduate Education Support Corps, summarized the work of the Corps in the past year with "focus on the classroom, write education with temperature, devote to dedication, and help dreams with sincerity". Qi Xuan, a volunteer who taught at the August 1st School in Lhasa, Tibet Military Region, ranked first in the grade with an average score of 10 points higher than that of other classes. Mao Wenzhi, who was admitted to Tsinghua University from No. 1 High School in Huangzhong, Qinghai Province, and returned to support teaching after graduation, also ranked first in his grade in terms of the average score of geography courses for senior high school students. In this year's college entrance examination, three of the students tutored by volunteers were admitted to Tsinghua University, and a number of students were admitted to other key universities in China.

In addition to teaching work, volunteers also actively participate in public service activities in the service place, and strive to enrich students' second classroom. "Dream aid program", "Tibetan margin twilight" and other public welfare education programs have received widespread attention.

After the report, Qi Xuan, a volunteer of the 17th Graduate Volunteer Group, brought a vivid and interesting teaching demonstration. In the exchange session, the volunteers shared their growth thoughts and insights during the year of volunteer teaching.

It is reported that since 1998, Tsinghua University has sent 18 consecutive graduate teaching support teams to the central and western regions to carry out poverty relief teaching relay. The members of the previous volunteer education groups focus on teaching and educating people, and their teaching achievements are remarkable. Nine of the tutors have been admitted to Tsinghua University and Peking University. In 2014, Tsinghua University's postgraduate teaching group won the title of "the most beautiful rural teachers' teaching group"; In 2015, it was rated as an excellent volunteer group in Xining City and an excellent volunteer group in Liangzhou District, Wuwei City. It was specially reported by Guangming Daily and the Youth League Central Committee that "looking for the most beautiful volunteer group in the camera".
