The eighth batch of service teams of Chinese youth volunteers arrived in Laos to start service work

   China Youth Network, Beijing, April 26 (Reporter Li Chuan) On April 19, eight young volunteers from the eighth batch (second batch) of China Youth Volunteer Overseas Service Plan's volunteer service team for Laos arrived in Laos, officially launching the six-month volunteer service for Laos. The central representative of the Lao delegation and the representative of the business office of the Chinese Embassy in Laos went to the airport to welcome the volunteers.

On the morning of April 20, Counsellor Wang Qihui of the Commercial Office of the Embassy in Laos warmly received all the volunteers, expressed a warm welcome to the arrival of the volunteers, and put forward specific requirements for the work, life and matters needing attention of the volunteers during their stay in Laos.

On April 21, the post handover ceremony of Chinese young volunteers was held in the center of the Lao delegation. Wang Qihui, Counsellor of the Commercial Office of the Chinese Embassy in Laos, hopes that volunteers will overcome difficulties and work hard to contribute to the friendship between China and Laos. On behalf of the Lao side, the Deputy Secretary of the Central Committee of the Lao Delegation, Arensai Sunala, welcomed the Chinese youth volunteers and, on behalf of the Central Committee of the Lao Delegation, thanked the Chinese Embassy and the Chinese government, especially the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Youth League. Arensai Sunala said that over the years, the selfless dedication of Chinese volunteers has helped Laos in relevant fields. He believed that this group of young volunteers will further inherit and carry forward the fine traditions of volunteers in the past, and make positive contributions to promoting Laos China friendship and Laos in related fields.

"As Chinese aspiring youth in the new era, we will live up to our mission, serve the Lao people with practical actions, tell Chinese stories, convey the Chinese voice, play China's role, spread China's love, and show China's image. We will never fail to live up to the sacred responsibilities entrusted by the country and the people, and live up to the ardent expectations of the Lao people." The volunteers agreed.
