[Editor's Note] According to the overall arrangement of college students' volunteer service for the Western Plan in 2015, recently, various regions have successively organized pre job training and expedition ceremonies for volunteers of the Western Plan. The National Project Office has collected and sorted out the information of various regions, and compiled and issued this issue of briefing for reference and exchange.

Training and expedition of volunteers for the Western Plan

Heilongjiang: On July 28, the 2015 Heilongjiang University Student Volunteer Service Western Plan Training Class was held in Heilongjiang Provincial Museum, and 69 volunteers attended the 4-day pre job centralized training.

This year, Heilongjiang recruited 175 volunteers. Among them, there are 17 in Tibet, 54 in Xinjiang and 35 in Xinjiang Corps. At the same time, 152 volunteers of the Western Plan will continue to be selected to carry out volunteer services in the grass-roots league and county committees in the province, and 9 new volunteers of the Western Plan will be added to the Youth League Committee of the management bureau under the General Administration of Agricultural Reclamation to carry out volunteer services. Among them, 84 were postponed volunteers last year. The newly selected 69 volunteers were selected from more than 1000 graduates from more than 20 universities in Jilin and the province.

The training included "Introduction to Grassroots Youth Work in Heilongjiang Province", "Introduction to New Media Work", "Popularization of Basic Knowledge of Volunteers", "Training of Self care Knowledge", "Psychological Counseling", "Interpretation of Relevant Policies of the Western Plan", and "Introduction to Achievements and Work Direction of the Western Plan Volunteer Work of Heilongjiang University Students in Recent Years" And other contents, so as to make volunteers master the basic skills of volunteer service, fully realize the importance of volunteer service, and lay a good foundation for the volunteer service work to be carried out.

After the training, the newly selected volunteers went to their service posts to report for duty, and carried out grass-roots youth volunteer service for 1-3 years respectively. The county service units arranged more convenient accommodation for the volunteers.

Beijing: On July 10, the 2015 Beijing University Student Volunteer Service Western Plan Volunteer Training Course was held in the multi-function hall on the first floor of the International Conference Center of China University of Geosciences. Relevant leaders and experts from the Beijing Volunteer Service Guidance Center were invited to attend. 49 volunteers from 21 universities in Beijing participated in the training.

Zhang Xiaohong, vice president of Beijing Volunteer Service Development Research Association and professor of China Agricultural University, gave us training on volunteer service concept and other contents in combination with his years of experience under the title of "Doing a Lifelong Memorable Thing in a Short Time" to improve the volunteer service concept. Li Xu, secretary of the Party branch of the Civil Air Defense Communication Station of Beijing Civil Air Defense Bureau, stressed that three prominent issues, namely, national interests, national rights and national development, should be paid attention to in the development process of ethnic relations. These are the focus, hot spots and themes of ethnic relations.

Xiong Hanzhong, director and founder of Beijing Youth Stress Management Service Center, PhD in psychology of Beijing Normal University, and trainer of Beijing Volunteer Service Development Research Association, provided team building training for volunteers from the perspective of psychological construction. Fu Yingdi, the person in charge of Fengtai Public Security Branch, told the volunteers the basic knowledge of emergency response. Volunteers benefited a lot from how to deal with and respond to emergencies. Ye Ruling, a national outstanding Communist Party member and volunteer who helped Tibet for 31 years in Beijing, and a volunteer who established the only Grade III Grade A hospital during the period of helping Tibet, shared the extraordinary and uncomplaining experience of 31 years of helping Tibet with college student volunteers who were about to go to the west under the title of My Days in Tibet, and encouraged volunteers to actively participate in service posts in the west, Contribute to the development of the west.

On the evening of July 23, the Beijing Youth League Committee and the Beijing Volunteer Service Guidance Center held a ceremony at the Beijing West Railway Station for volunteers to serve the Western Plan in Tibet in 2015. Yang Song, Director of the Volunteer Work Department of the Central Youth League Committee, Guo Xinbao, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Beijing Municipal Youth League Committee and Director of the Municipal Volunteer Service Guidance Center, Wang Ying, Deputy Director of the Municipal Volunteer Service Guidance Center, attended the ceremony and saw off the volunteers, the National Project Office of the Western Plan, the Youth League Committee of Beijing Railway Bureau, the Municipal Volunteer Service Guidance Center The Beijing West Railway Station Management Committee and other responsible comrades participated in the expedition and sent them emergency bags, instant noodles, drinking water and other security goods, expressing good wishes. At the same time, Beijing Project Office will send a special person to lead a team to organize volunteers to report to Tibet, and will express condolences to Tibetan volunteers on duty and organize a forum to follow up volunteer services and management.

Sichuan: In 2015, Sichuan PMO organized training for volunteers of the Western Plan in seven districts, namely Aba, Ganzi, Ya'an, Deyang, Chengdu, Meishan, Guang'an, Nanchong, Dazhou, Mianyang, Guangyuan, Bazhong, Panzhihua, Leshan, Liangshan, Suining, Ziyang, Neijiang and Yibin, Luzhou, Zigong.

The relevant leaders of the states and cities were invited to attend the training courses in each district. The training content covers the introduction of relevant policies, provincial and municipal conditions, quality development, pre job psychological counseling, document handling, new media operation of the Communist Youth League and other training projects. Due to their special geographical factors, Aba, Ganzi and Ya'an District also set up courses on customs and people and plateau work instructions. At the same time, this year's training also closely centered on the work of the Party and government center, and added e-commerce training. Senior lecturers such as Li Wei, co-founder of Caidie Technology Co., Ltd., an Alibaba cooperation organization, were invited to give lectures on such courses as "Primary Application and Introduction of E-commerce Platform", "Trends and Opportunities of E-commerce Development", etc.
