From June 23 to 26, the Youth League Central Volunteer Work Department held a training class for key personnel of the Western Plan Excellent Project Office in the National Youth Jinggangshan Revolutionary Tradition Education Base. A total of 276 key personnel from 65 service county project offices and 211 university project offices who were rated as excellent in the 2012-2013 performance appraisal of the Western Plan participated in the training.

This training is the first centralized training for key personnel of the project office since the implementation of the Western Plan 11 years ago, which has fully promoted the communication between grass-roots project offices, promoted the work docking between service sites and universities, promoted the implementation of a new round of work of the Western Plan in various regions, and strengthened the construction of the work team of the Western Plan. The training class takes the form of leadership lectures, special lectures, experience exchanges, practical teaching, group discussions, centralized question answering, assessment and evaluation, focusing on work experience exchanges, new situations and new situations of the development of the Western Plan, volunteer team management, volunteer service and cultivation of youth socialist core values, volunteer service project design and financing, volunteer practice and its dissemination, etc, Invite heads of volunteer departments, colleges and universities, service places and dispatched places, youth social organizations, media experts, fund operation experts, etc. to give explanations, introductions and exchanges. The training class discussed and exchanged the common problems and working ideas of the Western Plan in groups for many times, and answered the questions raised by the trainees. During the training, the General Office of the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League, the Ministry of Chorography and Work and the Department of Administration, Politics and Law of the Ministry of Finance carried out joint research, distributed questionnaires and held separate symposiums on the social insurance and subsidy standards of volunteers in the Western Plan.

In 2014, the overall implementation scale of the Western Plan will remain around 18000 people. We will continue to implement seven special service projects, including basic education, agricultural science and technology, medical and health care, youth work at the grassroots level, social management at the grassroots level, serving Xinjiang, and serving Tibet. We will appropriately adjust the implementation scale of the implementation areas and service projects, and maintain and consolidate the achievements of the special project to serve Xinjiang, We will significantly increase the implementation scale of the special service for Tibet, increase the dispatch to the western contiguous poverty-stricken areas determined by the central government, and maintain the implementation scale of 10000 people in ethnic minority areas. In 2013, a total of 17519 volunteers from the Western China Plan came to work, and 10009 new volunteers were recruited, including 1507 volunteers from the graduate education support group.

From June 24 to 27, the 2014 Training Class for Leaders of China Youth Volunteer Postgraduate Teaching Corps was held in the National Youth Jinggangshan Revolutionary Tradition Education Base. A total of 168 leaders of the 2014-2015 (16th) Postgraduate Teaching Corps from 168 colleges and universities across the country participated in the training.

The training promoted the leader of the volunteer education group to better establish the spirit of volunteer service, helped the trainees to further improve their ability to volunteer education, get familiar with the general situation of the service place and job settings, and strengthened the construction of the backbone team of young volunteers. The training class takes the form of thematic lectures, practical teaching, experience exchange, group discussion, centralized question answering, assessment and evaluation, and focuses on the exchange of teaching experience, the establishment of the spirit of volunteerism, the management of volunteer service teams, volunteer practice and its dissemination methods and skills, volunteer service project design and financing skills, teaching environment and safety management Volunteerism and the cultivation of youth socialist core values, social practice and the growth of student backbones, etc., invited the former leader of the graduate student teaching branch, the person in charge of the university, the person in charge of the project office of the service place and the dispatch place, the person in charge of youth social organizations, media experts, fund operation experts, and the school in the service place to explain, introduce, and exchange. The training class has held several group discussions and exchanged views on the graduate student support group and teaching work, and focused on answering some specific questions raised by the trainees.

From 2014 to 2015 (the 16th), the Chinese Youth Volunteer Group for Postgraduate Education is composed of 1830 college graduates from 170 colleges and universities across the country. At the end of July, it will go to more than 400 primary and secondary schools in 15 provinces (districts and cities) in central and western China and 257 counties and districts in Xiangxi, Hubei Enshi, Jilin Yanbian and other three minority autonomous prefectures in Hunan, Carry out one-year volunteer education service. In the past 16 years, the China Youth Volunteer Postgraduate Education Corps has sent a total of 9856 people to carry out volunteer education services.
