In July 2015, under the great attention of the party and government leaders of Wuhan University of Technology, and under the careful organization of the Youth League Committee at school and the Communist Youth League Guizhou Provincial Committee, 7 members (4 men and 3 women) of the 17th graduate student branch teaching group of Wuhan University of Technology had the qualification of examination free graduate students, Graduates with outstanding performance in all aspects formally went to Pingtang County, Qiannan Buyei and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, Guizhou Province to carry out a one-year volunteer work of supporting education and poverty alleviation.

Over the past year, the volunteers of the volunteer education group have always adhered to the spirit of "dedication, friendship, mutual assistance and progress". With the support and help of the Organization Department of the County Party Committee and the County Education Bureau, and under the correct leadership of the Pingtang Youth League Committee, they have always demanded themselves with the standard of "responsibility, sincere gratitude, and inspiring to become talents", firm faith, remember the mission, down-to-earth, unity and cooperation Be determined to make progress and do a good job of voluntary service in Pingtang County. The podium is the first stage of life for the University of Science and Technology volunteers to walk out of the campus; Learning to be a teacher and behaving like a model is the goal and direction that the volunteers of the volunteer education group strive to pursue. Although they have experienced a variety of practical drills such as learning and writing teaching plans, attending lectures in the affiliated primary school of the University of Science and Technology, and teaching competitions during their school years, the volunteers who first arrived at the volunteer teaching site still encountered many thorny problems in the actual implementation of teaching work. For example, the teaching method is outdated and single, which makes it difficult to raise students' interest in learning; The efficiency of classroom learning is low, and the effect of knowledge indoctrination is poor. To this end, volunteers strive to improve teaching methods, combine the advanced teaching concepts learned in the past training with the actual situation of the school, teach students in accordance with their aptitude, prescribe the right medicine to the case, and strive to consolidate basic knowledge and skills; Teach by example, pay attention to coaching, and strive to guide the correct emotional attitude and values. Through their own dedicated research, the volunteers overcame the potential difficulties of large span of teaching subjects and many class hours, and greatly relieved the pressure of the shortage of teachers in local service schools.

Among them, in order to overcome the problem of large span of subjects and majors, volunteers actively learn advanced experience from excellent teachers in schools, work together with local school teachers in teaching and research, and prepare lessons together. Use the spare time to make up homework for students with poor foundation, and grasp the weak points of students' knowledge while checking and filling gaps for students, laying the foundation for targeted improvement in the future. At the same time, in order to solve the problem of low efficiency of students' classroom learning, volunteers try hard to try new teaching methods, set up a "seven person listening" system within the team, study and practice the "high-quality classroom polishing" and "efficient classroom" programs, and make efforts to improve the efficiency of classroom learning. In the face of the current situation that the school's teaching infrastructure is weak, the volunteers try to adapt to the environment, make use of the advantages of the school, and combine self-made teaching tools to stimulate students' interest in learning while teaching knowledge and ideas.

Through the unremitting efforts of volunteers, the teaching work of the Volunteer Group has also made gratifying achievements. The physics of two classes in grade one of senior high school taught by Fangchengcheng Institute, which serves Pingtang Ethnic Middle School, won the first and third place in the parallel class in the mid-term exam; At the same time, Ji Chenglin, a volunteer, taught politics in four classes of senior one, and achieved good results in the second, third, fifth and sixth places in 28 parallel classes. And the geography of the first grade of junior high school taught by Mao Litong, who serves Pingtang No. 2 Middle School, also made 7 excellent achievements in the mid-term exam.

Campus culture is an important indicator to measure the level of a school, and also a fusion agent to promote students' quality education and all-round development. The performance experience and cultural quality accumulated by volunteers during their university years also laid a good foundation for promoting the construction of campus culture in the service area. Zhang Jingdan and Fangchengcheng participated in the organization of the 16th Culture, Sports and Art Week of Pingtang Ethnic Middle School, and served as the judge of the art performance evening party. Fangchengcheng is also responsible for the etiquette training of the "application for ordinary demonstration high school" activity of Pingtang Ethnic Middle School. Lu Haochuan, a volunteer, organized and participated in the Pingtang No. 3 Middle School's "Building a New Image of Teachers and Showing New Charm of Teachers" ethics speech contest, and won the first place in the school. As a host and a sharer, he participated in the implementation of the second "Chinese Studies Reading Club" activity of Pingtang No. 3 Middle School, bringing the atmosphere of Chinese studies to the campus. At Pingtang No. 2 Middle School, Mao Litong and Ren Xiujie continued to be responsible for the work related to the Student Union and the radio station, and planned and arranged activities related to the 13th Culture, Sports and Arts Week of Pingtang No. 2 Middle School.

In addition to vigorously promoting the construction of campus culture, volunteers of the Youth League also actively rely on the characteristics of the county, give full play to their own strengths, and participate in the cultural activities carried out by the Youth League Party Committee and the state and county level authorities. On the occasion of the 2015 Western Plan Volunteer Poverty Alleviation Training Class in Qiannan Prefecture, the volunteers acted as the host of the evening party in the cultural performance of the training class, and all performed the self-taught dance "Love in Pingtang", which showed the youth and enterprising demeanor of the branch teaching group in many volunteer teams. In the Guizhou Tea Industry Development Conference and Duyun Maojian World Expo Famous Tea Brand Promotion Activity, volunteers went to Duyun to perform important work such as etiquette. In Pingtang County, the Education Support League assisted the Communist Youth League Pingtang County Party Committee in organizing the second "Happy Life in Pingtang" Youth Association for Singles and the first "March 8th" recreational activity, and undertook the specific work of event host and game planner. At the same time, volunteers of the volunteer education group also participated in the Pingtang County "Call the Voice of Youth, Dance the Wind of Youth, Blossom the Color of Youth" evening party activity, organized and planned the first Pingtang County "Voice of Youth" May 4th Singer Competition and acted as the host of the program, contributing their youth strength to enrich the cultural life of the masses in the service area.

In addition, volunteers of the Volunteer Education Corps actively play the beacon guiding function of the League cadres, and play a role as a propeller in many volunteer services such as serving and maintaining young people. At the beginning of arriving at the service place, the volunteer education group followed the Youth League and County Party Committee to visit poor households in villages and towns, and assisted the Youth League and County Party Committee in visiting and investigating poor old party members and entrepreneurial youth; Participate in accompanying the Guizhou Provincial Committee of the Communist Youth League to Pingtang to carry out the big publicity and research activities of "entering the youth, changing the style and improving the work"; At the same time, as a volunteer, I participated in the activity of "Guizhou Runner Wu Wanxing's 108 Marathons" to provide solid service guarantee for the orderly development of the activity.
