Literature dreams and volunteers to return to Sichuan. As soon as the bugle of the Western Plan sounded, Zhang Ludan, who had just graduated from university, crossed the plains and Qinling Mountains with a love and longing for literature. After a journey of 1900 kilometers, she came to Fushun, Sichuan. A thousand year old county, a town of talented people, a town of bean curd, a town of ratooning rice... It has a profound heritage and cultural connections. What we see and hear are pastoral chapters in Chinese classical poetry. Taking the opportunity of serving here, she and her like-minded friends meet all the year round to travel along the Sichuan Road, visit historic sites, visit the ancestors of Myanmar, travel all over the green mountains and green waters, and enjoy the delicious scenery along the way.

When in Rome, do as the Romans do and take root in the grassroots. Life is not only about poetry and distance. When Zhang Ludan really stepped on the grass roots, he realized that it was the regional dialect that made people more difficult to adapt than the great changes in the environment between the north and the south. Whether in life or in work, Zhang Ludan inevitably has more or less communication problems with the surrounding leaders, colleagues and the masses, which is really a headache. In order to be a confidant of young people, a guide for young people, and a good volunteer of the people, Zhang Ludan takes it as the first priority to study business knowledge and adapt to the grass-roots environment. If you don't understand the Sichuan dialect, you can use the off hours to enter the village courtyards and participate in the "Dragon's Gate Array" of villagers; If you can't do the work, you should see more, ask more, study hard and practice hard. If you work overtime, you should make sure that the tasks are delivered on time with quality and quantity guaranteed. With the warm hospitality of the local people and the care and care of the leaders and colleagues of the unit, she quickly integrated into the grass-roots level in the countryside as the Romans do, removed the anxiety of "outsiders", and gradually developed a strong sense of belonging and mission, taking Sichuan as her second hometown.

In the past year, Zhang Ludan has organized and participated in relevant activities for many times, including cultural creation, forest fire prevention, epidemic prevention and control, assistance and relief, dispute mediation, township courtyard construction, etc. In her work, she used grass-roots positions to carry forward the excellent traditional Chinese culture, kept telling the party's policies and stories, and served the masses with heart and soul. In the process of taking root in the countryside, Zhang Ludan recorded and accumulated the deeds of advanced people emerging from grass-roots work, understood the expectations and demands of the people, and constantly recorded the great changes in the countryside in the new era with words. Over the past year, more than 100 promotional articles have been published and pushed in the central, provincial, municipal and county media, including 12 articles published on the People's Network and the media platform of learning to strengthen the country.

Zhang Ludan often follows the leaders to visit and enter the household to understand the village conditions and people's conditions and provide policy assistance and relief for women and children in need because she handles the business of Youth League Committee, Women's Federation, Customs Working Committee and other businesses personally. In 2022, Fushun, as the only provincial pilot county for medium - and long-term youth development planning in the city, clearly proposed the overall goal of "initially building a youth development city with Fushun characteristics by 2025". In the context of Fushun County accelerating the construction of a youth development oriented city, young people, including the volunteers of the Western Plan, are all participants, beneficiaries and contributors to this blueprint. With the help and guidance of the Youth League Committee at the county level, more and more young people from all over the world gathered here.
