Formerly Zhejiang Fenghong Clay Chemical Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Fenghong New Material Co., Ltd. was established in December 2008. The company operates under the double brands of "Fenghong" and "Huate". It is a manufacturer of nano montmorillonite, organic (water-based) bentonite, magnesium lithium silicate, colorful protective glue, polyamide wax powder (wax slurry), hydrotalcite, coating thickener, dispersant, defoamer It is a production and operation entity integrating high-tech research and development, large-scale series production, and domestic and foreign sales of antibacterial additives and other products. The products are widely used in paint and ink, polymer PP, PE, oil drilling exploration, agricultural chemicals, adhesives and other fields.
The company has established two production bases of bentonite and montmorillonite in Anji County, Zhejiang Province and Jianping County, Liaoning Province respectively, and has jurisdiction over Zhejiang Huate New Material Co., Ltd., Anji Fenghong Montmorillonite Material Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Shunfu Clay Chemical Co., Ltd., Jianping Huate North Chemical Co., Ltd., Hangzhou Jingyi Chemical Co., Ltd., Anji Fenghong Environmental Technology Co., Ltd Zhejiang Fenghong Biotechnology Co., Ltd. The company covers an area of more than 500000 square meters, with a production and operation building area of 80000 square meters, forming an annual production capacity of 50000 tons of organic bentonite and 200000 tons of inorganic bentonite (montmorillonite). In addition, in June 2021, Fenghong reinvested in a new project, and Zhejiang Fengcai New Materials Co., Ltd. officially signed a contract to enter the park. The investment in the new project has expanded the service field of Fenghong.
Fenghong is a national high-tech enterprise, Zhejiang bentonite experiment (pilot test) base, chairman unit of China Nonmineral Association Bentonite, standing director unit of China Paint Industry Association, with provincial enterprise research institute, Zhejiang postdoctoral workstation, academician workstation, etc. In 2019, it won the title of specialized, special and new small giant enterprise approved by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, In 2020, it won the title of single demonstration enterprise and officially launched the IPO process. It has established joint laboratories with Ningbo Institute of Materials, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Zhejiang University, South China University of Technology, Shandong University of Science and Technology and other scientific research institutions, and conducted joint product research and development. Fenghong is responsible for drafting the national standards of Bentonite, Organic Bentonite, the industrial standards of Thickening Rheological Agent for Coatings Bentonite and the manufacturing standards of Easily Dispersed Organic Bentonite in Zhejiang. In order to comply with the national environmental protection strategy, Fenghong took the opportunity to launch environmental protection coating rheological additives suitable for water-based, solvent-free and high solid content coating systems, including water-based bentonite, new organic bentonite, lithium saponite protective adhesive, water-based polyamide wax and solvent based polyamide wax products, further expanding Fenghong's product system and service fields. In April 2021, the second phase project of Fenghong subsidiary with an annual output of 20000 tons of silicate functional materials has been put into operation, and the product line of Fenghong will be further expanded. To this end, Fenghong is recruiting partners from all regions of the country to seek common development.
