Editor's note: Zhejiang Vocational College of Special Education is the first independent vocational college in China and the only one in Zhejiang Province that is mainly oriented to the disabled and the cause of the disabled. The school is now setting up a column focusing on the excellent cases of "provincial double high" to systematically display the achievements of our school's "provincial double high" construction in the chapters of integration education, exploration and cooperation, scientific research and innovation, and social services. 1、 Technology enabling, sign language translation and artificial intelligence are deeply integrated. The sign language translation major of our school, together with the Hezhijiang Laboratory of Aridama Institute, has made a breakthrough in promoting the deep integration of universal sign language and artificial intelligence technology. Both schools and enterprises have jointly built a huge and accurate sign language corpus, successfully established the 2023 Zhejiang Province industry university collaborative education project, and jointly developed AI sign language digital people. The AI system has both sign language recognition and broadcast functions, which greatly facilitates the information acquisition of hearing impaired people. In March 2022, the intelligent sign language platform for the Hangzhou Asian Paralympic Games was launched, and the intelligent AI sign language translator "Xiaomo" made an amazing appearance. During the Asian Paralympic Games, Xiaomo provided sign language guidance and information introduction for the hearing impaired, making the silent world warm and colorful. Outside the competition field, "Xiaomo" also "appeared" in the WeChat applet "Palm West Lake West Stream", which also covered 38 scenic spots and 643 scenic spots of the West Lake, effectively promoting the construction of an information barrier free social environment.

2、 Practice and innovation, deaf and hearing-impaired integration to build a barrier free service platform. The sign language translation specialty of our school, together with the "Hangzhou Sign Language Sister Accessibility Communication Service Center", has created a remote sign language translation service center, further improved and promoted the operation mode of remote sign language support services, greatly improved the influence and service scope of the "Sign Language Sister" brand in the deaf community, and won the seventh Zhejiang Charity Award in 2022. In professional practice, it has gradually formed and promoted the talent training mode of "integration of deaf and hearing, integration of learning and training, and school enterprise cooperation". This mode won the second prize of Zhejiang Province Teaching Achievement Award in 2021, setting a model for the training of sign language translation talents in China.

3、 Jointly build a technology innovation application center to gather high-tech talent resources. The school, together with Zhejiang Noerkang Neuroscience Co., Ltd., Hangzhou Chengtian Science and Technology Development Co., Ltd. and other national high-tech enterprises, has built a support center for vocational education aids for special students and expanded the multi scene application of aids. The center explores the application of intelligent aids in special education and children's rehabilitation scenarios, solves practical problems in special education application scenarios for enterprises, attracts high-level talents from high-tech enterprises such as national level talents and overseas returnees to join the teaching team of special education professional group, and improves the team building level. In 2023, the special education professional teaching team will set up a provincial vocational education teacher innovation team, and jointly host the application for the special education national teaching resource database with Xiangyang Vocational and Technical College. On November 2, 2023, the People's Daily, Hangzhou Yuhang: Science and Technology Empowered Life, reported that Yuhang District, in conjunction with our school, gathered the power of government, schools and enterprises to promote technological co construction.

4、 Enable high-quality development of special education with digitalization. Digital construction promotes intelligent management and control. With multi-point interaction to help the teaching hardware terminal to be barrier free, it has realized the synchronous output of Braille in the human-computer interaction process of computer and other information processing equipment. The school has been awarded the advanced unit in the network information construction work of Zhejiang colleges and universities - campus new infrastructure direction. Establish a smart classroom monitoring mechanism supported by "platform+center" school-based big data, build a special education network teaching system, and achieve closed-loop management of teaching quality. Build a digital learning platform for the disabled, take the digital reform of Zhejiang Province as the traction, take the disabled learners as the starting point, and create a new model of "Internet+vocational training". The project of "Digital Learning Service Platform for the Disabled" was selected as the pilot project of digital reform and innovation of the Provincial Department of Education in 2022, effectively improving the digital management level of non academic education in schools.

5、 The integration of secondary and higher vocational education continued to break through. The school continues to promote the integrated talent cultivation of middle and higher vocational education in special education. In 2023, the college will enroll 1030 students in higher vocational colleges, including 149 students in the integrated enrollment plan for middle and higher vocational colleges. Build the "Zhejiang Provincial Alliance for the Integration of Ideological and Political Courses in Universities, Middle Schools and Primary Schools of Special Vocational Education". The major of arts and crafts design was successfully selected as one of the first batch of Zhejiang Province's integrated teaching and innovation teams of secondary and higher vocational teachers. Actively implement the long-term education system of vocational education, and participate in the pilot training of regional integrated talents in secondary and higher vocational education. In 2023, we will cooperate with ordinary secondary vocational schools to recruit students with sound rehabilitation technology and preschool education majors, so as to achieve "integration of special features" to "convergence of special features". At the same time, we have carried out joint training of rehabilitation therapy (hearing impaired students) and visual communication design (visually impaired students) with application-oriented undergraduate colleges to open the "overpass" of integrated training of secondary vocational, higher vocational and application-oriented undergraduate in special vocational education. "Integration of disability and health, collaborative training, and integration of three systems: innovation and practice of special higher vocational education education model" won the second prize of national teaching achievements of vocational education in 2022.
