According to the deployment of the 31st National Youth Patriotic Reading Education Activity with the theme of "Strive for a New Journey and Be a Good Successor", and in combination with the reality of Yueqing, after research, it is decided to hold four national theme activities of the 23rd Youth Patriotic Reading Education Activity in Yueqing, namely, essay contest, story telling contest, speech contest and thematic knowledge quiz. Relevant matters are hereby notified as follows:
1、 Purpose
Four theme activities were held to help young people better learn and implement Xi Jinping's thought of socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era, study and implement the spirit of the Twentieth National Congress of the Communist Party of China, and implement the Outline for the Implementation of Patriotic Education in a New Era and the Plan for the Implementation of National Youth Student Reading Action issued by the CPC Central Committee and the State Council, Through organizing and carrying out various thematic practice activities, we will lead the majority of young people to deeply understand the decisive significance of "two establishment", strengthen "four consciousness", strengthen "four self-confidence", and achieve "two maintenance", and work tirelessly to build a socialist modern country in an all-round way and realize the Chinese Dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
2、 Activity content
（1） Essay contest
1. Participants: primary and middle school students in the city.
2. Requirements for soliciting papers:
The theme of this theme essay solicitation activity is "forge ahead on a new journey and be a good successor". Participants should carefully read the activity book, closely study and implement Xi Jinping's thought of socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era, inherit the traditional virtues of the Chinese nation, and cultivate and practice the core values of socialism, talk about their own understanding and experience on the relevant topics in the book, and truly express their feelings through reading the book and participating in the theme practice activities Harvest and improve.
(1) The essay must be written by the students themselves and cannot be copied from others. The article requires a clear theme, correct views, substantial content, prominent center, and positive ideals and beliefs. The topic of the composition should clearly indicate the main idea of the content, and should not simply take the feeling after reading and feeling of "Endeavour to a New Journey to Be a Good Successor" as the theme. The name of the author and the name of the school shall not appear in the text. The tutors should give practical guidance and write comments and recommendations (within 150 words) when recommending articles on the platform.
(2) The number of words required for the article: 600-800 words for primary school students and 1000-1200 words for middle school students. The questions are prepared by the students themselves. The article requires fluent language, clear hierarchy and correct punctuation.
3. Competition category:
This essay contest consists of three groups: primary school, junior high school and senior high school.
Each school will organize an essay solicitation activity from the beginning of March to the middle of March 2024, so that everyone can participate, classes and classes can be carried out, schools and schools can select and recommend at all levels, and schools can select and recommend at most 7 articles (primary schools take central schools as units).
4. Submission requirements:
Deadline for submission: March 31, 2024;

5. Awards:
Each group of this essay contest has several first, second and third prizes for students' essays, and several awards for outstanding instructors.
The selected excellent articles will be sent to the National Organizing Committee to participate in the essay competition. The award-winning essays will be compiled and published by China Women's Publishing House and New World Publishing House.
（2） Primary School Story telling Competition
1. Participants: primary school students in the city.
2. Selection conditions and requirements:
The content of the contestants must be closely related to the theme of this reading activity. It is required to use vivid language and moving examples to express the understanding of the theme of the activity and the feelings of participating in the reading activities, and to show the spirit of young people in the new era who love the Communist Party of China and forge ahead. The topic should be clear, the content should be coherent, and the language should conform to the characteristics of age. The contestants must use Putonghua, with clear speech, smooth expression, full spirit and natural appearance. Players should dress neatly, stretch and be decent. Ethnic minority students can wear ethnic costumes. The content of the primary school students' lecture notes can be based on the things around them, or they can experience or listen to others' stories, or they can choose the story that is deeply felt in the activity books, or the story that is close to the activity theme in other books. No matter what theme they choose, they should integrate their own feelings and experiences, and express their true feelings.
The telling time of the story telling contest for primary school students cannot exceed 4 minutes. Points will be deducted for overtime (no points will be deducted for time shortage), 0.1 points will be deducted for 30 seconds of overtime, and 0.5 points will be deducted for more than 30 seconds of overtime.
3. Competition schedule:
(1) School District Trials:
Primary schools should select school level students to tell stories before March 22, and recommend 1-2 students to participate in the school district story telling contest. All school districts and schools directly under the city shall select students for storytelling before March 31, and the awards for school districts shall be determined according to the number of places allocated by the municipal organizing committee (see Annex 1).
The contestants who won the first prize in each school district will represent the school district to participate in the city's story telling final. Each school district must submit the list of contestants (see Annex 2) who will participate in the city's final to the Student Department of the Municipal Education Bureau before April 8, and the Municipal Experimental Primary School will recommend one contestant to report directly to the Student Department before April 8.
(2) Time and place of finals:
Time of the finals: April 25, 2024. Place of the finals: the conference room on the 10th floor of Yueqing Book City (time and place will be notified if there is any change).
4. Submission requirements:

5. Final award setting:
There will be 3 first prizes, 6 second prizes and several third prizes in the final of story telling for primary school students.
The outstanding students in the storytelling final will represent our city to participate in the storytelling competition in Zhejiang Division of the 31st National Reading Activity.
（3） Speech Contest for Middle School Students
1. Participants: middle school students in the city.
2. Selection conditions and requirements:
The content of the contestants must be closely related to the theme of this reading activity. It is required to use vivid language and moving examples to express the understanding of the theme of the activity and the feelings of participating in the reading activities, and to show the spirit of young people in the new era who love the Communist Party of China and forge ahead. The topic should be clear, the content should be coherent, and the language should conform to the characteristics of age. The contestants must use Putonghua, with clear speech, smooth expression, full spirit and natural appearance. Players should dress neatly, stretch and be decent. Ethnic minority students can wear ethnic costumes. The content of the middle school students' lecture notes must be written by the narrator himself, and should express his own personal feelings obtained from participating in reading activities, and should not copy other people's works. If you learn from other people's works, you should also combine your own knowledge and feelings to re create, instead of copying completely.
The speech time shall not exceed 5 minutes. Points will be deducted for overtime (no points will be deducted for time shortage), 0.1 points will be deducted for 30 seconds of overtime, and 0.5 points will be deducted for more than 30 seconds of overtime.
3. Competition schedule:
Each middle school should do a good job in the speech contest for its students, and recommend 1-2 students to report to each educational school district before March 22; Each school district shall complete the speech contest for middle school students before March 31, and submit the list of the first prize winners to the Student Section of the Municipal Education Bureau before April 8 to participate in the speech contest for middle school students in the city. See Annex 1 for the awards and recommended quotas of each school district.
Each high school (including private schools) will recommend one outstanding player on the basis of the speech contest held by the school, and directly report it to the Student Section of the Municipal Education Bureau before April 8 (see Annex 2 for the application form).

There are several winners of the first prize, the second prize and the third prize in the speech finals for middle school students. Students who have performed well in the speech finals will represent our city to participate in the speech contest in Zhejiang District of the 31st National Patriotic Reading Education Activity.
（4） Question and answer of subject knowledge
1. Website, time and questions:
The thematic knowledge Q&A was held at Chunmiao. com, www.chunmiao.cn.
The question and answer questions of this thematic knowledge question and answer session are divided into primary school group and middle school group. Each group is divided into four periods. The date of question and answer is February to May 2024, the 10th day of each month, and the deadline of question and answer is July 20, 2024. During this period, all questions and answers completed are valid.
2. Participants:
Participants in this thematic knowledge quiz should, on the basis of carefully reading the activity book, participate in the answers of the corresponding topics and groups in their real identities. They should not answer the questions that do not match the theme of the book, nor answer the questions of the middle school group as a primary school student, or answer the questions of the primary school group as a secondary school student.
3. Answering methods and requirements:
(1) Open Chunmiao and click the "Question and Answer of Subject Knowledge" button on the home page; Select the answer sheet of the corresponding group;
(2) Fill in the personal registration information accurately according to the introduction on the website;
(3) Read the questions carefully and answer them according to the prompts and requirements;
(4) After confirming the answer, click the "Send" button to send the answer;
(5) The answer sheet must be sent within the specified answer date, and the overdue answer sheet is invalid;
(6) Participants must use real personal information, and each question and answer session is limited to one time.
4. Award and commendation:
The review team reviewed all the valid answers, and first selected the correct answers for each period, and then made a comprehensive evaluation according to the reading activities carried out in various places, the number of people participating in the thematic knowledge quizzes, and the time of submission of the answers, and finally selected 300 winners for the primary school group and 300 winners for the secondary school group.
The list of winners is announced on Chunmiao. com.
The National Organizing Committee will issue certificates to the winners.
3、 Activity requirements
All school districts and schools should strengthen leadership, organize conscientiously, and do a good job in the above four activities. Everyone should participate, classes should be carried out, and schools and colleges should select, so as to truly implement various reading activities and enable every student to participate in patriotic reading education activities.
According to the past experience and the actual situation of this activity, the National Organizing Committee will continue to set up student grand prize, first, second and third prizes, excellent prize, teacher guidance award, organization award and other awards in this activity.
