In order to further understand the quality and sanitation of drinking water in Lazi County, strengthen the safety management of drinking water, and ensure the health and safety of rural drinking water, recently, the Center for Disease Control and Prevention of Lazi County organized the sampling and monitoring of rural drinking water during the dry season in 2024.
According to the requirements of Xigaze 2024 Rural Drinking Water Quality Monitoring Work Plan, water samples were collected from 17 rural water supply monitoring points in 11 townships in the county, with 28 water samples collected. The staff of the Center for Disease Control and Prevention of Lazi County collected, transported, stored and tested the water samples in strict accordance with the requirements of the Standard Test Methods for Drinking Water. According to the testing requirements, laboratory staff will test nine general photosensitivity indicators, including pH value, turbidity, visible matter, smell and taste, chroma, free residual chlorine, total hardness, total dissolved solids, permanganate index, within 48 hours after the completion of sampling, and then Shigatse CDC will test the general chemical indicators, toxicological indicators More than 30 items such as microbial indicators were tested and analyzed.
The staff of the Center for Disease Control and Prevention of Lazi County overcame various difficulties such as scattered monitoring points and long journey to successfully complete the sampling of rural domestic drinking water in the dry season of 2024, which laid a solid foundation for the systematic understanding of the sanitary status and change trend of drinking water quality in Lazi County and the public's access to safe water.
