usage method

1. Install FetchV directly to the browser, and click Add to display the plug-in content in the extension interface

2. As shown in the figure, the FetchV plug-in has been added to the browser to display

3. You can click the fixed button to display FetchV in the top area of the browser, so that you can open the FetchV detection webpage video at any time

4. Some videos may need to be played to detect links. If there are no videos you want in the list, you can try to play them. If you still cannot get the link after playing, you can try to refresh the current page, or use the recording mode

5. If the current video has an optional resolution, please make sure to select a fixed resolution instead of automatic resolution. Otherwise, in case of poor network conditions, automatic resolution switching will turn the recorded video into multiple clips with different resolutions.

6. You can use this option to let the plug-in automatically filter out videos of the desired size for you. For example, if the lower limit is set to 1024KB, videos smaller than 1024KB will be ignored. If the upper limit is set to 1024KB, videos larger than 1024KB will be ignored. If the option value is set to 0, there is no limit.

7. In the following extension list, disabled extension video types will be ignored when capturing. If there are video types you don't need in the list below, you can disable them.

8. Files from the following domain names will not appear in the download list without https://or http://www.example.com

9. Open a webpage to play video content, and click the FetchV plug-in at the top of the browser to check the webpage content

10. As shown in the figure, click the download button when the video on the webpage is detected, and the download interface will pop up automatically

11. Automatically open the main webpage interface of FetchV to display the downloaded content. Please do not close this page during the download process! If you are interested in something on the page, you can open it in a new tab (hold down the Ctrl key and click the link).

common problem

　　 - How can I speed up recording?

In fact, this action records the playback buffer of the video. Therefore, you can speed up video buffering by dragging the playback progress to the end of the buffer or using two speed playback.

　　 ——Why is it always in the state of "waiting for response"?

This is because this tab does not receive data. Please make sure the target video is playing. If the video is playing and the task is still not responding, close this tab and try again. If it still fails in the end, it may be because the video is not a standard streaming video, and the buffer cannot be recorded. This extension cannot ensure that all videos can be recorded. In addition, it is also possible that your browser version does not support this function. It is recommended to use the latest version of Chrome Browser.

　 - Why is recording still displayed after the video is buffered or played?

The completion signal will be sent only when the webpage where the target video is located jumps, refreshes or closes. When the video cache is finished, you have recorded it completely. You can click the Save button at any time.

　 - Why is the video split into multiple clips during recording?

For streaming video, the player will switch the resolution according to your network status. Data with different resolutions cannot be combined into one video, so they are divided into segments. If the target video provides a settable resolution option, please select the fixed resolution option instead of the default automatic resolution before recording to ensure that the video is not divided into multiple clips as far as possible.

　 - Can I record multiple videos at the same time?

Yes, but only if your computer has enough memory, because the recording buffer needs to borrow your computer's memory temporarily. The longer and higher quality videos you record, the more memory you use.

　　 - Can I record live?

Yes, but it is not guaranteed that all live broadcasts can be recorded successfully. It should be noted that when the video reaches a certain size, the program will automatically block. Please save the block as soon as possible to free memory, or the recording may fail due to insufficient memory.

　 - Why can't some videos be played after being saved to disk?

Before this, you should play the preview video of the task. If it plays normally, the local player you are using cannot parse the video data. You can try to change Video player 。 "VLC" video player is recommended. If the preview video of the task cannot play normally, it means that the video cannot be recorded.

　 - Why is video divided into multiple clips with different resolutions?

This is usually because the target video has switched the definition, and data of different resolutions cannot be combined in one video. If automatic resolution is selected, it will switch accordingly when the network status changes. Therefore, you should choose fixed resolution instead of automatic resolution.

　 - Where are the files saved?

When you click Save, the file is saved in the browser's download directory by default. Normally, when saving a file, the browser will pop up the download interface, from which you can open the download folder. If you do not see this interface, you can find the download folder in the browser settings. If you want to customize the folder for saving videos, when the task or block is completed, right-click Save to save the link to the specified folder (note that you cannot perform this operation on unfinished tasks).
