Since September and autumn, Dongtai City, Jiangsu Province has enjoyed a bumper harvest of "ploughing deep into the Yangtze River Delta and integrating into the Greater Shanghai". On September 5, the 2023 Dongtai (Shanghai) Economic and Social Development Investment Conference was held, where nearly 200 guests gathered to talk about friendship, seek innovation and discuss a better future. 18 industrial projects were signed on site, involving advanced manufacturing industry, modern service industry and other fields, which added strong impetus to the simultaneous development of Dongtai's industrial chain group and the rise of high-end industries.
As an important member of the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration, Dongtai has frequent and close exchanges with Shanghai due to its geographical proximity and popularity. Especially in recent years, with the acceleration of the integration process of the Yangtze River Delta, Dongtai has planned a layout from the regional integration and cooperation, giving full play to the advantages of large space, good ecology and new industries, gathering high-end orientation, competing for the green and low-carbon development of the new track, and courageously becoming the leader of high-quality development in the coastal areas of northern Jiangsu. The leading industries of new generation information technology, new energy, new materials, high-end equipment, and big health, "three new and two special", have grown rapidly, ushering in a good development momentum of both quantity and quality. Last year, the total industrial economy exceeded 150 billion yuan, ranking among the top 100 industrial counties and cities in China. Especially since this year, the chain of major industrial projects in the city has been developed at the same time, with a promising trend. Nearly 80 projects worth more than 100 million yuan have been started.
The reporter learned that the newly signed projects are among the leading industries of "three new and two special" in Dongtai, covering cutting-edge science and technology fields such as zero carbon smart energy storage, new titanium alloy electronic materials, new conductive materials, high-end equipment, new light sources, and jointly reflect the characteristics of high technology level and high product quality control requirements. The guests and businessmen present here are full of confidence in the future of Dongtai. Guo Meiyao, Consul General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands Consulate General in Shanghai, said that the Netherlands Waden Sea and Dongtai Tiaozini are world famous coastal wetlands. Dongtai is vigorously developing green energy, so that Dongtai and the Netherlands have broad prospects for cooperation in various aspects such as offshore wind energy and renewable energy.

Feng Mingming, chairman of the company, introduced that, In August last year, Dongtai New Zhongzhou launched the implementation of the second phase project construction, which will invest all the investment funds raised from the listing in Dongtai again, and build a special alloy equipment production base with first-class technology and leading equipment in China.
Funeng Smart Energy Technology (Yancheng) Co., Ltd. is setting out to build an industry-leading zero carbon smart energy storage plant with a capacity of over 50GWh in Dongtai. Miao Dongfang, chairman of the company, said excitedly, "We are coming to light the zero carbon spark on the ecological land!"
In recent years, Dongtai has held investment seminars in Shanghai every year. Shanghai East cooperation has yielded fruitful results at a new historical starting point. More than 120 Shanghai funded enterprises, such as Shanghai Electric, New Zhongzhou, Fulehua, He Hong and Dongfulong, have landed in Dongtai. Every year, nearly 4 million Shanghai people come to Dongtai to work and play; More than 50000 Dongtai people work and live in Shanghai all year round.
