At present, the railway mechanical refrigerated cars in use are mainly in groups, including B2. There are nearly 8000 refrigerated vehicles in the whole road, of which 2292 are allocated to 5 machine maintenance sections, and the special dispatching system is responsible for dispatching and commanding. In 1998, the average loading time of each vehicle was 11.6 times (20 times in historical years is the best), and the turnover time was about 31.5 days. At the same time, there is no special station management for more than 5000 cold cars, so the car condition is poor and the utilization rate is low.

Therefore, in recent years, the idle situation of mechanical refrigerated vehicles has become more and more serious. In order to save costs, hundreds of refrigerated vehicles have been sealed or listed as standby. However, the cold car is in poor condition and the transportation quality cannot be guaranteed.
