The agreement was signed to protect and consolidate the ecological "barrier" of Kuihu Lake. After close communication and coordination in the early stage, the People's Procuratorate of Nanling County, the County People's Court, the County Ecological Environment Branch and the People's Government of Xuzhen Town signed a cooperation agreement on the judicial protection and restoration of the ecological environment of Kuihu Lake, clarifying the common goals and responsibilities of the four parties, establishing a joint meeting system, a joint handling mechanism for cases involving ecological environment protection, and a joint publicity and release mechanism, We will jointly explore the establishment of an effective management and use mechanism for ecological restoration funds, and form a new model of multi subject collaborative protection and ecological environment restoration.
The restoration base opens up a new "matrix" for the protection of Kuihu Lake. After the signing ceremony, the participants jointly unveiled the Kuihu Ecological Environment Judicial Protection and Restoration Base. The opening of the restoration base will help to give full play to the functions of the Yangtze River ecological environment judicial protection base, integrate the concepts of strict law enforcement, safeguarding rights and interests, focusing on prevention, restoration first, and public participation, and open up a new position for strengthening the interaction, coordination and linkage of the four parties in the ecological protection of Kuihu Lake.
Active performance of duties adds new "momentum" to the protection of Kuihu Lake. The water quality of the former Kuihu Lake wetland deteriorated, cyanobacteria floated, and the ecosystem was severely damaged. In the face of this governance problem, the People's Procuratorate of Nanling County was able to perform its duties according to law. Through the establishment of a "river (lake) chief+procurator general" cooperation mechanism, the People's Procuratorate wrote a research report, provided the party committee and government with a basis for decision-making, made and issued procuratorial proposals, and urged the administrative organs to perform their duties according to law. Through this mechanism, The protection of Kuihu Wetland has achieved remarkable ecological effects. On March 1, 2022, the pilot construction of Kuihu Provincial Wetland Park passed the acceptance, becoming the first provincial wetland park in Wuhu.
In the next step, the People's Procuratorate of Nanling County will continue to work closely with relevant parties, actively play its procuratorial role, actively perform its duties, and contribute procuratorial power to the ecological protection of Kuihu Lake Wetland.
