"Black light factory" is common, but what about mineral processing "black light factory"? Ansteel Guanbaoshan Mining Co., Ltd. gave the answer. How to realize unmanned production site? Entering the grinding workshop, the huge roar reverberated in the workshop, which is about 100 meters long, 50 meters wide and 30 meters high. On the operating platform on the second floor, the runners on two large ball mills with a diameter of 6.2 meters are rotating rapidly. Not far away, the magnetic grinding inspection robot is flashing lights, and is collecting equipment temperature, vibration and other status data.

Is it pitch dark in the "Black Light Factory"? The number of robot spot checks was 10, the number of predicted defects of equipment was 264, and the failure rate of production line was zero... In the plant, a large screen called "Digital Management Platform of Guanbaoshan Magnetic Black Light Plant" was beating the operating parameters of various equipment in real time. "The 'Black Light Factory' is not a dark place, but emphasizes a highly intelligent production mode. From raw materials to final products, intelligent robots and automation equipment will complete their own work according to the instructions of the software system," said Liu Chunhui, deputy equipment manager of the company.

"The magnetic separator sucks up 12mm iron particles through magnetic action, and then grinds them into 75mm powder through a ball mill. After adding water, the slurry is formed." Liu Chunhui said that there were four teams in this plant, each team had 15 to 20 people. After digital transformation, the entire plant now only needs four to five employees to deal with emergencies.

Following the direction of Liu Chunhui's fingers, the reporter found that the operating room originally used by the team was empty. "This operating room has now become a temporary maintenance site. All operations and controls are concentrated in the hall of the remote control center 2 kilometers away. Using advanced technologies such as big data, cloud computing, automatic control, online monitoring, AI, etc., employees can control the production here in the whole process. We call this intelligent scene - 'one button start' Guan Baoshan."

The informatization construction has promoted the overall improvement of the company's efficiency and benefit - the production indicators have repeatedly achieved good results, and the raw ore processing capacity, concentrate output and metal recovery rate have been continuously improved; The equipment efficiency has been steadily improved, and the efficiency of ball mill and filter press has been greatly improved; The comprehensive energy consumption continued to decline, and the unit consumption of reagent, electricity and steam coal gradually decreased; The labor efficiency has improved significantly. Supported by the digital system, the physical labor productivity of mineral processing (red ore) iron concentrate has increased by 20.94% year-on-year in the first four months of 2024.

As night fell, the "castle" buildings on the high mountain top gradually disappeared in the dusk. In the "Black Light Factory", all kinds of data reflecting the status of production, equipment and personnel are still changing and transmitting rapidly - this young mine is brewing more brilliant achievements.
