On June 15, China's high-speed railway ushered in a number of "new actions": Fuxing intelligent EMU technology upgrading train was put into operation on the Beijing Shanghai high-speed railway; The whole line of Beijing Guangzhou High speed Railway has realized the operation of Fuxing EMU trains at a high standard speed of 350 kilometers per hour; Beijing Hong Kong, Shanghai Hong Kong Xifa Chaozhou to high-speed trains were officially opened; Shanghai - Shanghai Hongqiao Super Ring High Speed Railway Makes Its debut

High speed railway is an important symbol of transportation modernization and an important embodiment of a country's industrialization level. Each "new action" not only makes China's railway network more and more dense, but also brings new benefits to the people's better life.

Provide passengers with more comfortable riding experience

For a long time, the operation service quality of high-speed railway has always been one of the most important issues for passengers. Recently, the development of Fuxing intelligent EMU technology upgrading train was completed, and it was put into operation on the Beijing Shanghai high-speed railway on June 15.

"The upgraded version of Fuxing Smart EMU will not only increase the number of seats, but also expand the space for passengers to use and optimize the service functions, which will bring passengers a more comfortable travel experience." The relevant person in charge of the Locomotive and Vehicle Department of China Railway Group said that China Railway Group took the lead in organizing railway research institutions and equipment manufacturing enterprises to improve the technology of CR400 Fuxing Smart EMU, Through the use of lightweight, noise reduction and other technologies, equipment integration, layout optimization and other measures, the passenger space has been further expanded, the passenger carrying capacity of the train has been improved, the number of second-class seats and the total seating capacity have been increased, and the space of large luggage storage area has been doubled.

It is reported that in order to meet the diversified travel needs of passengers, according to the preliminary market survey, some first-class seats in 17 car trains will be upgraded to the preferred first-class seats. The preferred first-class seats are set in carriage 17, with a total of 24 seats. The shell type electric seats are used. The backrest and leg angle can be adjusted independently, and the folding table, power socket, adjustable reading light and other facilities are equipped, The distance between the front and rear seats is further widened, and the seats can be rotated 180 degrees, which will provide passengers with a more comfortable riding experience.

More convenient personnel exchanges between Hong Kong and the Mainland

At about 20:00 on June 15, the D909 EMU train started from Beijing West Railway Station and the D907 train started from Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station and headed for Hong Kong West Kowloon Railway Station. This is the first time that the high-speed railway train between Beijing and Hong Kong and Shanghai and Hong Kong has been running. The train between Beijing and Hong Kong starts in the evening and arrives in the morning. It is more convenient for Hong Kong to communicate with the mainland.

The person in charge of the passenger transport department of China Railway Group introduced that the ordinary speed through trains Z97/98 and Z99/100 running between Beijing West, Shanghai and Hong Kong Hung Hom stations were upgraded to high-speed train D909/910 between Beijing West, Shanghai Hongqiao and Hong Kong West Kowloon stations D907/908, the whole journey time from Beijing and Shanghai to Hong Kong is reduced from 24 hours and 31 minutes, 19 hours and 34 minutes to 12 hours and 34 minutes, 11 hours and 14 minutes respectively.

"The operation of the high-speed train is to upgrade the quality of the original ordinary speed through train between Beijing West, Shanghai and Hung Hom in Hong Kong." The person in charge said that, first, the operation quality is upgraded, the train equipment and facilities are more advanced, and passengers are more comfortable to ride; Second, the customs clearance mode is convenient and fast. The customs clearance mode of "two places and two inspections" of the original normal speed direct train departure and terminal station has been changed to the high-speed train unified implementation of "one place and two inspections" at West Kowloon Station in Hong Kong, greatly reducing the customs clearance time; Third, the access range is more extensive. Passengers can leave or arrive at Shijiazhuang, Guangzhou, Shenzhen North, Hangzhou East and other stations along the Beijing Hong Kong and Shanghai Hong Kong high-speed trains, making cross-border travel more convenient.

High speed railway network strongly supports regional coordinated development

On June 15, the Shanghai Shanghai Hongqiao G8388 Yangtze River Delta Super Loop High Speed Railway, which starts from Shanghai Railway Station and ends at Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station, made its debut.

It is reported that this "loop line" spans Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Anhui, connecting four hub cities in the Yangtze River Delta, namely Shanghai, Nanjing, Hefei and Hangzhou. It passes through seven high-speed railway lines, including Shanghai Nanjing Intercity Railway, Nanjing Chengdu Railway, Beijing Hong Kong High speed Railway, Ning'an Railway, Chihuang High speed Railway, Hangzhou Changsha High speed Railway, and Shanghai Kunming High speed Railway, helping the Yangtze River Delta "external circulation" reach in all directions and "internal circulation" arrive smoothly.

Data shows that by the end of 2023, the operating mileage of China's railways has reached 159000 kilometers, including 45000 kilometers of high-speed railways. 80% of the main channels of the "eight vertical and eight horizontal" high-speed railway network have been completed and 15% are under construction. The layout and structural functions of the road network have been continuously optimized. The rapid development of high-speed railways has attracted a large number of passengers to travel through the railway.

From January to May this year, 1.73 billion passengers were sent by railways nationwide, up 20.2% year on year. In order to further ensure the safe and orderly travel of passengers, the railway department makes good use of the transport capacity of the newly opened high-speed railway lines, dynamically analyzes the ticket sales and alternate ticket purchase data of railway 12306, and timely increases the transport capacity in hot areas, directions and periods.

Liu Zhenfang, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the State Railway Group, said that by 2025, the national railway operating mileage will reach 165000 kilometers, including 50000 kilometers of high-speed railway. The railway network covers 99.5% of the urban population of more than 200000 cities, and the high-speed railway network covers 97.2% of the urban population of more than 500000 cities, which strongly supports regional coordinated development.
