A total of nine people in Fujian were selected, and Liu Huocheng, the successor of Hua'an Tieguanyin's production skills, was on the list.

From a novice tea making apprentice to a well-known craftsman, Liu Huocheng is rooted in the green mountains and green waters of Hua'an County, and has been practicing real kung fu all the way. It has been the achievement of pursuing the perfection of tea making skills for decades.

National senior tea appraiser, inheritor of intangible cultural heritage of Tieguanyin's traditional production skills, national model worker... Liu Huocheng has many honors and labels. Now, his resume has added a new identity as one of the first batch of famous rural craftsmen in China.

Liu Huocheng, born and raised in Xiandu Town, Hua'an County, is a member of the "post-70s" generation. He grew up in a rural tea garden, accompanied by tea, and witnessed his grandparents' deep cultivation in the tea industry since childhood. In 1994, Liu Huocheng, with his love for tea, took over the baton from the elders and worked hard to learn from scratch. He worked hard to establish the tea enterprise "Halong Peak", focusing on the ecological organic tea industry of Tieguanyin.

The worker is good at his work, and the craftsman uses his heart. In his mind, only by adhering to the tradition can he improve - accurately grasp the process of painting, rolling and drying, skillfully master the "heat" of rolling, shaking, turning and frying, integrate the quality standard into every link of tea making, observe the color, smell the fragrance, taste the taste, and do one move at a time, link up with each other, and create high-quality tea with the spirit of craftsman.

At the same time, Liu Huocheng made synchronous efforts on the way of tea tasting. Since he was awarded the title of "Primary Tea Evaluator" in 1996, he has been continuously promoted for 10 years. In 2006, he was awarded the title of "National Senior Tea Evaluator". He has constantly appeared as a judge in the tea king competitions in various towns and villages.

In recent years, Tieguanyin tea industry is facing a low market share and economic benefits. In his hard work to find his own way out, he focused on how to improve the quality of products, create his own product characteristics, highlight the "color, fragrance, taste and shape" of Tieguanyin tea, and take the lead in carrying out the innovation experiment of air conditioning tea making technology. This innovation changed the problem of summer tea making, and gradually formed a unique evaluation standard, making outstanding contributions to manual tea making.

Cultivate tea garden

The growth of tea plants has strict requirements for air, soil, water quality, temperature, humidity, etc. "Tea is spiritual, making good tea is not easy." In Liu Huocheng's mind, tea making is a leaf sentiment, and only good mountains and water can produce good tea.

In 2003, Liu Huocheng actively promoted the modern agricultural comprehensive development model of "company+base+farmer", highlighted the green concept of "true ecology, true green, true organic, true health", and invested in the construction of 3200 mu "Halong Peak Ecological Organic Tea Garden". For more than ten years, Liu Huocheng has cultivated fragrance in tea gardens with mountains and waters as his heart, and has become the watchman of building an organic ecological tea garden with ecological environment, landscaping base, standardized tea gardens, and refined management.

Get rich together with development

Recalling that he entered the tea industry at the beginning of that year, Liu Huocheng revealed his true feelings of happiness in today's development. He said that at the beginning, he carried a burden to sell tea in other counties, and then went to the market with dozens of business cards in his pocket. He would sell tea to everyone from Zhejiang to Guangdong. Even if you hit the wall, you still have confidence, and you can start again after dusting yourself.

Liu Huocheng felt that a rich man is not rich, and only when everyone is rich can we make great strides in rural revitalization. Liu Huocheng went to six major tea production areas, learned from the best, humbly sought advice, learned and advanced, integrated what he learned into the actual development of Hua'an, did a good job in technology inheritance, and cultivated a new generation of knowledge-based, skilled and innovative tea making team. He went to more than 10 tea professional villages in the county for on-site guidance, invited experts to give on-site lectures to tea farmers, taught tea garden management, tea production and other skills, and led local villagers to grow, make and sell good tea.
