For Li Jian, chief technical engineer of Guizhou Weite High tech Energy Technology Co., Ltd., developing battery products with superior stability, good safety and low development cost is the core goal of the team. In 2015, Li Jian graduated from Guizhou University and worked as a process engineer in Guizhou Anda Technology Co., Ltd. from July of the same year to May of 2016. In June 2016, he was introduced to Guizhou Weite as a high-tech talent, and then plunged into the technology research and development, technology application and technology management of new energy power batteries.

To improve the company's basic research conditions and human resource allocation, Li Jian has also built a bridge for industry university research cooperation with Guizhou University and Sichuan University, and jointly built a research center for lithium battery cathode material engineering technology with the university. At present, the center has nearly 20 R&D personnel, including one provincial core expert and five people with senior professional titles or above.

Li Jian led the R&D team to go all out to carry out a large number of technical breakthroughs. In 2018, the company built a new production line with an annual output of 5000 tons. Based on this project, Li Jian and others have successively developed M-01 and M-03 lithium manganate. Among them, M-01, as a conventional lithium manganate, is mainly used in the middle and low end 3C digital battery; M-03, as a high-voltage chamber lithium manganate, has a compaction density of 3.0g/cm ^ 3 and a capacity of 115mAh/g, and is used in the middle and high end 3C digital field. The two materials have created high sales revenue for the company.

In recent years, the new energy vehicle industry is in full swing, and all parts of the country are making full efforts to carry out industrial layout. Recycling of power batteries for new energy vehicles is an important link in the industrial chain and also a weak link in Guizhou.

It is an important task for Li Jian's team to recycle iron phosphate slag to prepare battery grade iron phosphate and lithium phosphate. In the operation process of scrap lithium iron phosphate recovery lithium carbonate manufacturers, lithium is usually extracted by wet method and then used to produce lithium carbonate. During this period, a large amount of ferrophosphorus slag will be produced, and the data shows that recycling one ton of lithium carbonate will produce 6 tons of ferrophosphorus slag.

Li Jian said that at present, the treatment method is general solid waste treatment, but one ton of ferrophosphorus slag contains 100kg to 150kg phosphorus element and 3kg to 5kg lithium metal, with a value of 12000 yuan. It is necessary to recycle and reuse effectively.

After tackling key problems, the company has developed lithium recovery process technology and achieved mass production, with the output value reaching 5 million yuan per month and the net profit reaching 3 million yuan per month. In January 2023, the output value will reach 10 million yuan per month. At the same time, the pilot test of iron phosphorus recovery to prepare battery grade iron phosphate has been completed, and mass production conditions will be reached in May 2023.

With the development of new energy, large-scale refrigerators are gradually phased out. The machine contains a large amount of lithium bromide refrigerant, which is mainly treated as hazardous waste. Bromine and lithium can not be reused.

Li Jian led the team to develop lithium bromide recovery technology. Lithium carbonate is prepared by recovering lithium element with sodium carbonate as lithium precipitator after pretreatment and impurity removal with lithium bromide refrigerant. Bromine, as a compound of sodium bromide, can be directly sold to sodium bromide manufacturers for secondary processing to make sodium bromide products. At present, it has reached mass production, and has generated sales revenue of more than 20 million yuan since July 2022.

In addition, since his entry, Li Jian has published 2 academic papers as the first author, published 16 patents, successfully authorized 3 invention patents, digested, absorbed and re innovated them, and successfully applied them to production.

At present, the company has built a production line with an annual output of 10000 tons of lithium iron phosphate cathode materials, which can achieve an output value of more than 1 billion yuan. The project was selected as "Guizhou High tech Industrialization Demonstration Project" in 2018, and was awarded the title of "Provincial Benchmark Project for Deep Integration of Big Data and Real Economy" by Guizhou Big Data Development Administration in 2019.

This is just a microcosm of Li Jian's deep efforts in technology research and development in the new energy industry. With the smooth development of various R&D projects, the company's product performance and cost control have been further improved, and the core competitiveness of the enterprise has been enhanced.

Li Jian said that in the future, he would lead his team to further develop new energy power battery technology, continue to focus on the technology of cascade utilization of lithium iron phosphate materials, the technology of comprehensive recycling of retired lithium iron phosphate batteries, and the development of high-energy lithium manganese iron phosphate and its precursor ferromanganese phosphate application technology, so as to help the construction of "electric Guizhou".
