Beijing, May 24, China Industry Network (Worker's Daily - China Industry Network reporter Zheng Li) The national professional skills contest for childcare was officially launched by the All China Federation of Trade Unions and the National Health Commission, aiming to implement the relevant decisions and arrangements of the Party Central Committee and the State Council, vigorously develop the inclusive childcare service system, and promote the standardized and professional development of childcare services in the new era. This is the first time to hold a national vocational skills contest for childcare.
The competition was hosted by the Women's Workers Department of the All China Federation of Trade Unions, the Population and Family Department of the National Health Commission, undertaken by the Zhejiang Federation of Trade Unions, the Zhejiang Provincial Health Commission, and co organized by the Ningbo Federation of Trade Unions, the Ningbo Municipal Health Commission, the National Health Vocational Education and Teaching Steering Committee, the Child Care Service and Management Committee, the Child Care Service Branch of the Chinese Population Society, and other units. The competition is divided into three tracks, namely, nursery teachers (staff group), nursery teachers (student group) and baby sitters (staff group). It is widely carried out for the majority of childcare workers, baby sitters and vocational college students in related majors, focusing on the cultivation of childcare service talents, promoting learning and building through competition.
This competition is a three person team race for nursery teachers and baby sitters. Those who have professional skill level certificates for nursery teachers (members) and baby sitters, have been engaged in childcare services for no less than two years (as of May 31, 2024), and have provided proof of working years of the unit can apply for their names.
It is understood that this competition is divided into three modules: professional knowledge, operating skills and comprehensive ability. Professional knowledge includes laws, regulations, standards and specifications related to childcare, infant physiology and psychology, nutritional feeding, safe care, common diseases and infectious diseases, environment creation, early childhood development, etc; Operational skills include creation of childcare environment, infant life care, safety and health management, early learning support, cooperative parenting, training guidance, etc; Comprehensive ability includes responsive care for infants and young children, comprehensive program design for early infant development, team cooperation and home care.
The competition is divided into two stages: provincial preliminary and national final. The provincial preliminary contest will be organized by the provincial (district, city) federation of trade unions, the health commission and other relevant units, and three representative teams (corresponding to three tracks) will be selected to participate in the national final contest in combination with the local actual organization and implementation. The National Finals will be held in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province in late August 2024, and will be participated in by teams from all provinces (districts and cities). The national finals will be set with individual first prize, second prize, third prize, excellent prize, group first prize, second prize, third prize, excellent prize and other awards.
The competition will set up a working organization to be responsible for qualification review, competition supervision, confidentiality of test questions, dispute arbitration, and the notarization organization will supervise and notarize the whole competition process to ensure the fairness, impartiality and effectiveness of the competition.
