Beijing Daily (Reporter Li Qiyao) The list of senior secondary schools qualified for enrollment in 2024 in Beijing has been announced recently. This year, 332 ordinary high schools in the city are qualified to enroll students, 15 more than last year, and another 4 schools are temporarily not enrolling students. The Municipal Education Commission said that it was determined to put an end to illegal enrollment, and that senior secondary schools without publicity should not carry out enrollment activities without authorization.

This year, the enrollment scale of the city's ordinary high schools is about 82000 people, and the enrollment scale of secondary vocational education is about 35500 people. The overall enrollment plan shows a trend of expansion. 428 schools in five categories have high school enrollment qualifications, including 332 ordinary high schools, 28 ordinary technical secondary schools, 41 vocational high schools, 14 technical schools, and 13 five-year higher vocational schools.

The reporter combed the list and found that the 15 new schools were distributed in 10 districts, including Dongcheng District, Xicheng District, Chaoyang District and Haidian District. Among them, Fengtai District has the largest number of new schools, with a total of 4, namely Fengtai Experimental School affiliated to Beijing Institute of Education, Beijing Fengtai District No. 8 Middle School, Beijing Fengtai District Taipingqiao School, and Beijing Fengtai District Science and Technology Middle School. 3 new schools in Chaoyang District; Xicheng District and Haidian District added one private school respectively.

The newly added schools in the suburbs are all running schools in cooperation with high-quality schools in the urban area, including Jingxi Experimental School of Beijing Jingshan School in Mentougou District, Beijing Bayi Experimental School in Yanqing District, and Daxing Branch of Experimental Middle School Affiliated to Beijing Normal University in Daxing District.

Three schools have resumed enrollment in high school this year, namely, Beijing Chongwenmen Middle School in Dongcheng District, Beijing Sunshine School in Economic Development Zone, and Beijing Luhe International Education Park in Tongzhou District. Another 4 schools will not enroll students this year, including Zhengyuan Xinya School, Experimental School of Peking University High School, Beijing Future City School and Beijing Aerospace Middle School.
